Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

Happy New Year fans:cool: The Norwich Classic/NSB tournament is only a few days away and I hope everyone is as excited as I am to have the guys back on the ice. Any news from Drake, Sask.? It would be great to see #7 back on the team if he's ready. Also looking forward to seeing Forkey, Bell and Fulton skating again. Having them back, and the whole team getting some much needed rest, should make for an even more powerful and fast group of Cadets. (Just hope they aren't too rusty, but I am sure the coaches are cleaning them up even as I speak). Hope to see a rematch of the 2011 Primelink finals, Elmira/Norwich, on Saturday. I have never seen Morrisville or Fitchburg play, but know their records this year are not too great. However, didn't Morrisvill give Oswego a tough time earlier this season? I am sure both teams would love to surprise their opponents, especially the bulls eye tattooed, Norwich. Both Elmira and Norwich need to take care of business Friday night to make a rematch on Saturday possible. Should be a great weekend and hope the stands are packed to support the Cadets:) Go Cadets!

There have been no additions or subtractions to the Norwich roster.

Bell and Fulton still have not been cleared to play

Sorry to hear about Bell and Fulton, hope they are okay without major complications from their concussions. Must be really tough for Bell, this being his senior year. Best wishes to both of them.

Happy New year, Mr. Crosby, and to Norwich fans everywhere.

I'm looking forward to the tournament starting on Friday. It's been far too long without a visit to K'berg.

GO WICK!!!:D

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

For the tournament this weekend I had assumed Norwich would play the team with the weaker schedule, Fitchsburg St. Just wondering why Norwich is playing Morrisville in the first game in there own tournament. The upside is if Norwich wins both games this weekend it will help at NCAA selection time. Any team that has tied Oswego I wouldn't want to face.

Also add me to the list of fans who are dissapointed that Scott Schroeder didn't return for the second semester. He and his brother were 2 of the best players who every played for Norwich in my opinion.

The game wasn't as close as the tie would have you think, Oz had double the shots on goal as Morrisville, 54-27. Oz just got caught with their pants down in the first half of the game. I think Norwich will do just fine.

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

Some people have trouble with reasoning.

Elmira has a home and home with Morrisville the next weekend. I am sure they did not want to be guaranteed 3 games with the same team out of conference, and unlikely Morrisville did either.

AS far as the Schroeders go, they were individually very good, and potent on the same line. If best ever, individually, is in the top twenty, I could go along with that. They were, imo, possibly the 5th best, or so, linemates.

Is there live video for the games this weekend? If not, live stats?

There will be live video for the two Norwich games no matter what time they play. www.nsnsports.net/norwich

There will be live audio for every game of the tournament at www.wdevradio.com

We are still working on trying to work out the kinks of livestats. Hopefully soon.

My memory fails me. My wife wants to know how cold the rink is? Miniskirt, shorts, capris, pants, longjohns + pants, snowsuit?

Miniskirt can be good,:) but I would recommend pants and sweater with jacket. Rink is cool but not cold.

Lt Governor business destroyed by fire. Tough loss for Phil Scott. He was at he game last night when he recieved the call.

On another note will the jerseys the players wearing last night be worn at Fenway. I liked the color but the names were hard to read. Are these being auctioned off and how can you bid on them?

I hope they auction them off SOON! They are the ugliest ever!!
