Roads are open.

Initial prognosis a little high. Maybe more like 6 inches.

About the same in Plattsburgh. From what I saw a little after midnight, there are a lot of people waking up this morning to find something missing! Their car. The beacons were flashing and the tow trucks were hauling. There is no street parking when those amber lights are flashing.

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

I remember a game against UMB a few years back that I took for granted...

I remember too. I think that was Kurtis McLean's senior year and I was so disappointed that I wouldn't see him play any more. Speaking of UMB, that is the team I least want to see in the playoffs, followed closely by Babson. I know I should be concerned about Castleton, but some how the Cadets play up to the higher seeded teams and get caught flat footed by the lower seeded teams. Better not happen tonight, Castleton would just love a little help in getting to the NCAA tournament in Lake Placid.

Castleton has lots of early round playoff demons to exorcise.

Wow, both UMB and Babson eliminated tonight... and my next wish is to sweep next weekend and get home ice for the NCAA quarter finals... that and I win the lottery for 10 million.

Looks like we will play So. Maine and Castleton will play Skidmore next Friday at Kreitzberg. It's going to be an exciting weekend. Talking about exciting, I am listening to WIRY, Plattsburgh and Buffalo State in double OT- shots 58-40 for the Cards, memories of a Norwich/St. Norbert's game in Lake Placid 2010! Plattsburgh needs to win to have any hope to go to the NCAA's this year. Also, Neuman beat Elmira, who now has almost no chance of geting a Pool C bid. Interesting year in Div. III hockey.

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

Kind of off the topic but Keith Aucoin had a great game for the Caps tonight, including being named "player of the game" by the Caps' broadcast team, in a 4-2 Caps' win over Tornonto. He's been yo-yoing between Hershey and the Caps for the past few weeks but tonight he really got a chance to play. He scored 1 goal and an assist, with the goal being a thing of beauty on a tic-tac-toe play of Ovechkin to Johansson to Aucoin.

No, you're wrong...both teams still have a chance...Plattsburgh more then Elmira, but both teams are still much alive in the hunt...sorry....

Unfortunately despite his great performance on Saturday, Keith has once again been sent back down to Hershey :(

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

And now that the NHL's trade deadline was passed, Keith was in fact recalled today (Tuesday) . . .

So did Keith even get on a plane back to Hershey? Or did he stay with the team knowing the recall was going to happen?

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

Hershey is driving distance from DC (maybe 2 and 1/2 hours) but I doubt that Keith even made the drive since Hershey did not play a game between his assignment to Hershey and his return to DC!!!

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

If ya go to the Caps website and click on Aucoins name there is a video of his goal vs Toronto...ps I cant link ... ugh

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

Come on guys, the AARP crowd needs to get a lot of posts generated if we are going to get this thread closed before the board dominating Oswego Crew gets theirs closed.

On an entirely different note. I have secured my usual seats for the Weekend. Go Cadets
