Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

Coach Mike McShane goes for his 600th win this weekend at home. What are the odds he takes a bath. I do not remember which win it was but he looked pretty ****ed when Toza dumped the water cooler on him.

That was #400 I believe. I'd sure like to see him get another bath tonight.

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2011-2012: In Search of a Title

The question is who has the balls to dump the water cooler this time!!

On another note are any of the injured players back for the games this weekend?

NU 5 to 1 A great win! ... Meanwhile over on a "Fire Beaney" thread--that sounds more like a GOP primary debate-- they are roasting Bill for yet another loss--this time to the Camels? :o Not a good night for either of the Beaneys.

Back to a something more important. The Cadet win. I just checked the record book and there is no Patron Saint of Hockey. Felons (a.k.a enforcers)? Yup.:) Hockey players? Nope.:(

So St. Lidwina (Patron Saint of Ice Skaters) will just have to sit in the penalty box ;) ...as we bow our head and give thanks for giving us Mike McShane and all his teams both past and present that have played under his steady guidance. Yup.. all the way back to Providence College...St. Lawrence and finally at Norwich where tonight he rightfully earned his 600th collegiate victory. :)

Now shouldn't Cadet Crosby hang another one of those huge garish banner from the rafters of the Berg, as much to honor Mike, as to intimidate all those visiting team that will follow tonight's win in our barn... as Mike marches the Cadets towards #700?

Seriously, congratulations Mike McShane for a wonderful trip ....So far. :D

USM played a decent first and 3rd but fell asleep in the 2nd and you can't do that against the #1 team in the country....Kyle Thomas and Pier-Olivier Cotnoir are both pretty **** good....By the way, did Prez count the shots in this game: way off man, way off: I got 34-16....

It looked like Norwich wore down USM in the secord more than USM falling asleep. If not for a few outstanding saves by Braely Torris the score could of been a little higher. But I agree that USM is a good D3 team.

Thomas and Cotnoir wore them out if anything....The 2nd goals really took the wind out of USM sails: huge dip from USM for the next 10 minutes....All in all, pretty decent from a very young USM team....Just make sure you beat CSC in a couple weeks....

Snowballs chance in he%% they wont.....;-)

Ive watched a few USM games and I think they are a player or two away from being a strong team. But if Torris is on.....could be a spoiler for sure!

USM did a great job of clogging things up until that second goal. When they went down two, they had to change their strategy, and that's when it went south for them. Good job by them.
