Norwich 2016-17 Season Thread: ISO first NEHC title

Re: Norwich 2016-17 Season Thread: ISO first NEHC title

Really looking forward to this weekend's games, wish I could be there to cheer them on. Hope everyone is healthy and stays out of the penalty box, no more 5 minute majors! Go Cadets!

Cody Smith is due for a goal to go along with his amazing number of assists...24! Keep it up Cody!

Good win last night. It's been fun this year watching this team improve over the season. Early in the year their powerplay looked terrible against Middlebury in the Primelink, giving up shorthanded break after shorthanded break, and has looked much better ever since. The third period has been an issue with this team when leading, most notably against Williams and Plattsburgh, and last night Castleton had a hard time even getting the puck across mid ice in the third it seemed. Outstanding forecheck.

Edit: Also, we haven't had the attendance discussion for a few weeks. Looked like a big crowd last night at Kreitzberg.

Always helps when the students are back in town for Friday night attendance. It was definitely a good crowd. Little over 1700 was official attendance. We'll see how it goes this afternoon. Senior night and Skidmore having a few local guys might help.

As I seem to have to ask every Saturday, problems with the deed or is it my internet?

Re: Norwich 2016-17 Season Thread: ISO first NEHC title

Anyone getting the video of the Norwich/Skidmore game? I lost it about 8 minutes ago.

Re: Norwich 2016-17 Season Thread: ISO first NEHC title

One always wonders if the NSN folks are even aware they are broadcasting....and nothing is going out. A message might be helpful

How do we let them know? Jackson scores on a break a way to end the period 2-1 Skidmore.

Back on line to watch the zamboni clean the ice. Please don't lose the feed again!

Big goal from Todd Jackson in the final minute to cut the lead in half.

Obviously, winning is always good. But on the other hand, how often have our guys been forced to play from behind this year? Endicott and USM? I'm sure there are a couple other times, but not many. May not be a bad experience to work through.

Agree. We'll see what we've got

Must stop taking penalties - I have had no problems with the video, but I'm not pleased with what I'm seeing on it.

As I accidentally posted in the score thread, I don't like the bye. Norwich has been playing well. I hope the bye doesn't hurt their momentum

Well I accidently posted the score in the Norwich thread, so we're even.

As far as the bye, I assume you mean for the playoffs? I figure after 17 straight titles McShane knows how to handle it. It didn't work out well last year not having it.

Still need to clean up the penalties. It's been an issue all year. I don't mind the aggressive penalties (like a hard move to the net causing a collision and goalie interference), but the dumb penalties like boarding need to be cleaned up.

But, here we are, the end of January and the team is:

19-1-2
NEHC Regular Season Champions
And presumably #1 in the nation come Monday

Hard to be too critical tonight. Congratulations to the team!

I'm very happy that the team can now look forward to adding banners to the rafters. We get at least one and the possibility for a couple more before the season is done. It really helps with the acoustics in the arena.
