Northeastern Huskies 2019-20: Reloaded...and Still in Love with Stacy's Mom

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2019-20: Reloaded...and Still in Love with Stacy's Mom

That's unfortunate. He will have to sit out for a year won't he?

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2019-20: Reloaded...and Still in Love with Stacy's Mom

With respect, I think you're working from very old data. Alumni support (both ex players and others) for the hockey program has never been higher. And to my knowledge, the hockey program was never on the chopping block. Football got axed because of 1) no acceptable home field and no prospect of getting one and 2) The fact that football--even at the 1AA/FCS level--had become such a financial arms race that NU had no interest in competing and could never win. I hated to see football go but it was the right decision.

And referring to "the administration" is applying a very broad brush. Certainly there are academics and assorted administrators who feel that competitive athletics and academics are incompatible but there are others in the administration, including some highly respected academics, who feel otherwise.

Without respect, sigx15 may have been fed by Northeastern as a child, but from his previous posts we know he is a self confessed BC fan. Maybe his Dad left before his son could take advantage of the employee tuition benefit, or more likely, he couldn't get past admissions. That alone does not mean he's stupid, as we know ll how hard it is to gain admittance to NU. However, spewing unverified and negative tales of the hockey program is not the deed of a particularly bright individual. It seems more likely to be an emotional expression of a jealous individual with an axe to grind. Another spoiled Fanboy! Beanpot Envy!

I thought maybe with the coaching change he could move without sitting out. They need a forward to replace Madden and could use another depth guy.

Jozefek receives a medical waiver, will return for a 5th year...

Even better than a grad transfer. Perfect blend of maturity and experience in the NU system to help nurture the young guns coming in.

Terrific! He was playing the best hockey of his career late in the season. Eliminates the need to accelerate anyone. I'd like to see him with Gunnar and GOALangelo as they will benefit from his passing and setup skills.
I hope he has taken advantage of the Co-Op system as most of us did. Most of the players come in feeling that they'll be playing pro by their fifth year. In reality, most would make significantly more in the "real" world than in some minor hockey league - and without the long bus rides.

Huge news about Jozefek. With such a young team having Solow and Jozy with the kids in the top 6 is super important. If Levi is as good as advertised they should be able to play with every non-BC team in Hockey East. Now we wait on Keefe...

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2019-20: Reloaded...and Still in Love with Stacy's Mom

Personally, I think you'll be okay. Going with Keefe would be the smart thing to do. Going with Grillo and Eric Perrin is the UVM thing to do. :(

Looks like you're right based on a Jeff Cox tweet that Keefe has withdrawn. Have a gut (no pun) feel you're also right about Roger Grillo.

AJ Villella and Matt Thomson are transferring. AJV to Bentley and Thomson hasn't announced where he's going. 2 guys who showed flashes at times, best of luck to them going forward.

Off topic but I would love to see Wade McLeod back at NU for a game and pack the house. Watching his recovery has been awesome.

I’d love to see Wade back and/ or ‘live’ hockey at Matthews or anywhere.........

I suspect that’ll pack the house as well 😮 😊
