Northeastern Huskies 2018-19: New Breed, Old Snarl

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2018-19: New Breed, Old Snarl

.. tough with the injuries early, best with this tsfr to NMU if that's where he ends up indeed.

I know previous to being in Florida he was from Michigan, so perhaps he'll feel more at home up there. Best of luck to him in any event. #freshstart

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2018-19: New Breed, Old Snarl

It's not so much a matter of where he'll feel more at home but where he'll get more playing time. Obviously, there have been some conversations with the NMU people, who probably need the depth more than does NU at this point. All the best to him.

Wow!!! Muuuch better than the little TV you used to have!! Good job.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2018-19: New Breed, Old Snarl

Madden and Primeau make the final roster for WJCs. So they and Keefe will miss the Catamount Cup, and possibly Jan 5 vs Merrimack as well.

Hopefully Ruck is ready to go.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2018-19: New Breed, Old Snarl

echoing from other forums, that is great news with the roster re wjs. hope they all have fun & make the most of it.
in a ideal setting ruck would've gotten bit more playing time this season, but any gm in h.e can go either way given night, so understand his limited playing thus far.
well, here's his chance. hope he & team in front of him make the most of it. will be interesting to see madigan coach without keefe, especially if the gms are close. now's his chance as well.. ha :)

U.S. wins first WJ outing 2-1 over Slovakia. Tyler Madden with couple good chances early. Also played the slot on the PP. Team picked up intensity in the 3rd, good first gm.

besides Ryan Ruck, Solow & Jeremy Davies, who impressed for obvious reasons.. i thought thats the hardest, hustle/ unselfish play & game (especially the 3rd when several stopped skating), played by Matt Filipe tonight. Keep it up.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2018-19: New Breed, Old Snarl

Great to see Ruck get the win. Not to impressed that we had to go to overtime to beat RPI. Hopefully it was just Rust and we shake it off.

Meanwhile Tyler Madden with a beauty G for Team USA tonight. That's 2 pts in 2 gms thus far for him. Primeau 1g allowed thus far, Team USA keeping opponent chances to a minimum. Regardless of final score tonight, real test for these guys will begin tomorrow, all the best!

The Ruck Theut Bowl commences very soon! Excited to see Jake play.

Filipe's strong play continues from yesterday as he gets us on board early.
Yet (in the end).. we may be fighting goal differentials here.. & for that, we need shots on net. Not perfect passes for open net, as it is a imperfect game. Overpassing, looking for the perfect shot is going to end up hurting us in this type of tourney. Thus far, not enough SOG & way too much back & forth. Hopefully can start getting 'pucks on net' & moving this gm along.
