Northeastern Huskies 2016-17 Part II: Postseason Edition

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2016-17 Part II: Postseason Edition

I hate to say this, but I'd feel better about Primeau if I learned that he is nursing some kind of nagging injury. He is ranked 22nd among the active goalies in the USHL based on the numbers he has put up. He is playing for a decent team in Lincoln (Schultz is their leading scorer 12-29-41) and the other (Uncommitted) goalie on the team has a GAA nearly a goal lower. There are several uncommitted goalies in the top 10, mostly Europeans, who might be recruited if Primeau needs another year. Primeau may be the most decorated goalie we've recruited, but you can't tell it from the numbers he has put up since Christmas.

Not sure if you saw it when it came out, but I spoke to a former Lincoln blogger who still watches the games, about Primeau and Schultz both. Thought it was pretty good insight to CP's game and skills/potential. http://northeasternhockeyblog.com/2...ltz-huskies-recruits-jim-madigan-jerry-keefe/

QU will be coming to Matthews for 2 games next season.

Well we're certainly playing them like they're the 12th Hockey East team. Would love to see that actually happen, but they're in a good spot in the ECAC.

Switching gears, no Nolan news yet has to be good news right? I was thinking if he comes back he'd get the C and 8, 9 and 14 would get A's.

Northeastern will be traveling to RIT on October 14th this upcoming season for one game. RIT will return the favor some time in the 2018 season- my contact says possibly as a game over break.

He needs another year in the U...end of story...he wasn't even the best goalie on the team...

Per @GoNUmHockey, ZAR has played on 16 different line combinations this season. To put up the numbers he did with some of those combinations, all the more impressive.

Also, 16/38 games he had a winger/linemate that finished the year with 10 points or fewer. I guarantee you no other Hobey candidate had that kind of disparity in his linemates' production. Thats playing with basically a black hole on your side for nearly half your games.
