Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

Let's not count any chickens before they hatch. This is Northeastern, after all.

Yup. Hoky is just throwing chum into the water to stir up the sharks.

Also - lets not be so up and down people. It was a blah lost yesterday. No doubt. They got out coached. Lets see how they come back.

Huskies'01.. what has happened to you!!!.. too much smoke from the Varsity club?..

its a spade..! call it !

Never been in the Varsity club. Not my thing.

I have called it a spade enough times. It comes down to he is still coaching. I wont get to high on wins and to low on losses. Its the journey itself that drives me. JM has a chance here that he would not get over a regular weekend to look at tape last night, and make changes today, tomorrow, and even Saturday morning. That's unique. Let's see what he can do.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

Why would Scott Gordon want NU? Stepping stone somewhere bigger?

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

..stop trying to save incompetence.. even if it means its your friend..
the hockey program should be above all that. its getting old.

Hockey program has been incompetant since the decided to have one. I just LOVE how you guys thinbk that a new coach is going to change everything. If I have a gripe with JM its why are the D that you brought in so bad??? What were you looking at???? After that, everyone else is the same type of player NU always gets. Marginal talent.

..great.. so now hopefully the U. is (will try to) change things. just please stop trying so hard for your unqualified, in over his head, pal..! once he's out, he'll be thankful as well.

Exactly. Goes straight to recruiting once again. Not just NU. These bozos bring in small soft D. Everybody thinks they have Erik f-ing karlsson. Ever look at the LA kings roster. They win

Look for JM to be out after this year and Scott Gordon to end up there/
Would be a great fit, very good teacher when at Providence Bruins and a quality+ coach/guy

Hokydad, thanks for stirring the pot that didn't need stirring.

I'm puzzled by the name you threw out, and why you did it.The name that made "Northeastern" soil his panties.

For the past three years Scott Gordon has been an assistant coach for the Maple Leafs. Remember who the other assistant was? Greg Cronin! I will bet you anything that Greg has shared with Scott the every last detail of what went on here, and what a "pleasure" it was to work for our Hockey Assassin with. I know Greg's point of view, (as well as Sebastien's and, to a lesser extent, Albie's). If the HA called down to Atlanta to try to interest Scott in the job, he'd be lucky to ever get a call back.

Unless the man really needs a job, I suspect that, for him, the well has been poisoned!!

Incidentally, there was an HA sighting at the hockey game Wednesday night. Although he once coached Harvard Basketball, he didn't go to our game at their gym. Does that seem strange to anyone else?

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

What I found strange was the fact there was maybe 800 people in the rink on Wednesday...you guys need to get bodies in those seats

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

You are right that attendance is not all it could be.

I believe that day was the last day of classes before finals. The student section upstairs is usually filled. It was a Wednesday night, which is an unusual time for a game. The crowd was further diluted by the fact that we had a basketball game at Harvard at the same time. The weather didn't help either.

HHound.. the team sucks under Madigan & the 'crowds' have been thin all season. Spin it as you want.. I know season tix holders who did not (will not) renew until the clownfest is done with. Cronin speaks high of NU no matter where he is.. regardless of Scott landing here or not.

Soil that with rest of your 'insiders'.. :-) !..

Probably because he's in a position to know.

Hoky's hit rate on NU hockey stuff is pretty low. I have no idea what it is on other programs. But he is typically off with NU stuff. Still waiting for his donation to the program after being wrong about Collier.

I suspect the familiarity with this situation comes from connections with the prospective coach (as opposed to NU connections).
