Oh well, just a lil' setback at Princeton. This years Husky team does have all the weapons, but the difference between Champions and Contenders comes down to "Mental Toughness."



The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime. ~Babe Ruth


Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work. ~Vince Lombardi



This will definitely be exciting to watch how these women respond tomorrow! Go Huskies!!!

Looking forward to seeing the Huskies at Alfond Arena on Friday afternoon. Maine was picked to finish last in Hockey East. This is a good Maine team. NU should not take this Maine team, too lightly or they could be in trouble.

Can't take any team in HE lightly this year! I doubt that Flint nor these Husky women will take any opponent lightly. Good to see Maine stepping up!

This should really help the Huskies confidence, showing that they can score an empty-netter even when Coyne isn't there. ;)

WOW, the Huskys showed that they can win without empty netters and even w/o KC... Flint and Lundrigan have definitely returned this NU team to their rightful place atop HE and women's hockey!!! Amazingly, while ranking 2nd in HE GF at 43, the Huskys defensively rank head and shoulders above the rest of the HE at a League Leading 14 GA up to this point in the season!!! Suprisingly, BC who is second at 10 more allowed with 24 has scored 14 less goals than NU up to this point this season!!! Who would have predicted that??? Not even the great and powerful OZ...I mean HUX...!!! This should prove to be a very interesting rest of the season when KC returns..:p.

Great to see that performance without their rookie star. The series this week with her back is huge. If we can take at least 3 points I think it puts up in the drivers seat for HE.

Let's not forget to add Hilary Witt to the equation. I'm sure her years of experience as a head coach and elite player is really contributing to the Huskies success. :D

Typically the parking is free for women's hockey games in the big NU parking area off Columbus Ave. Just take one of the crosswalks over the T line. However, before doing that I would try to find some street parking in front of the rink first.
