Looking at the vidstream, I was astonished at the number of empty seats, especially for the league game on Friday night with the team flying high. I initially chalked it up to kids having seemingly endless things to compete for their time until I checked the attendance stats from other games and discovered that even Alabama-Huntsville outdrew us. So what up with this?

I disagree. We remain T-6th in the pairwise and we gained in Hockey East. I'd be hard pressed to say it was "bad" even though we played horribly for two periods Friday.

I just thought the whole weekend we came out flat. Sleep walking, as one of my buds put it. I thought the play on the ice was not as sharp as we should have been. The end result of the weekend was still a positive, with the HE points gained and the Pairwise staying as it was. I just think we could have played better to get to those results.

Looking to get tickets for the Maine NU games. Which end does Northeastern defend for the 1st and 3rd periods?

To the fans who think NU looked rough this weekend, you gotta give the opponent some credit. UVM is always hard for NU to play against. I can't remember the last time UVM didn't make a game against the Huskies play out like that. If they meet again, it'll be the same kind of game, again.
 
True.. they always play everyone hard. Sneddon has built good work ethic. Most importantly we beat em up at UVM & again at Matthews for the HE pts. UVM will be a formidable opponent come playoffs.. but nice to know NU done with em for now. This was a good wknd to get prepared for the Notre Dame wknd. Play disciplined 5x5 hockey NU.. go Huskies!

Question for Husky fans or anyone who knows.. - I know the NU-Notre Dame gm Fri, is on NBC Sports TV nationally. Is this the same for Saturday as well?.. thnks :). Go Huskies!

I believe so, yes. 7:35 on Friday, 7:05 start on Saturday.

I still can't make heads or tails of this team. Their "style" of play is really frustrating and worrisome, but I think they're beyond considering it purely "luck" at this point considering the number of wins they have in that fashion. The Friday game against Vermont was a perfect example of the odd way this season has gone. The first shot of the 2nd period came at the like 16 minute mark and Vermont had more than triple the shots NU had after 2.

I loved how the doghouse gave a mock cheer at the first NU shot of the 2nd but other than that I thought the crowd was quiet and boring. Overall I feel like the doghouse has been lackluster this year and the atmosphere has been kind of boring at most of the games I've been to. Hopefully this changes down the stretch.

For this weekend, I would be happy with a split. If we do better than a split I'll be very happy. I don't think there's any way we can 5-0-0 against ND in their own new barn. Tough break for the Irish on Russo. CF out for us as well. Hopefully Witt can bounce back tonight from that last gm. Should be a good TV & arena audience. Let's get those SOGs up & Pims down. Capitalize..! ..Go Huskies!

I got a bad feeling about tonight. The last time they played on national TV (at BC), the defense was exposed. Hope I'm wrong and they come to play tonight. Rooting for Pimm and Witt to show the whole country how special they are.
