I do not follow him.. but did read somewhere in print last season, he had 14 or 15 pts in the USHL.. this yr no idea. maybe I am wrong. Anyway, it is a competitive landscape.. sure he'll be fine wherever he lands up. We need pts this wknd!..

He has 1 goal, 2 assists this year. 25 PIM. Doesn't sound like the biggest loss to be honest

Gameday!! Sounds like MC's top player, Mike Collins, will be out this weekend, so our shoddy defense gets a little bit of a break there. I won't be able to tune into the game at all tonight, so if anyone can any form of recap this evening would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to being at Matthews tomorrow.

EDIT: Mike Gunn is back in the lineup, paired with Manson. Good to see!

4 big points on the board, gotta get the job done. Go Huskies!

Couple mins left in the gm.. its 5-2 NU thus far. Roy with a couple, same for Hedges & Szmatula with the opening goal. I will miss tomorrow's gm traveling. Here's hoping the offense continues against a short handed MC. I feel their pain.. but we need this wknd. Go NU

Great couple of wins this weekend. Clay Witt spectacular this weekend, keep up the good work! Was going to say he was "clutch", but some of us remember "call me Mr. Clutch". That didn't exactly work out..... Fantastic weekend, points were much needed.

Huge weekend, Clay Witt and the rest of the guys came up big when they had to. ZAR lighting the lamp twice was nice to see, I like how we have a number of guys who can score, it is not just the Roy show. Clay deserves every bit of his shutout, though I also would like to credit the PK unit for killing off all 7 Merrimack chances, including a 5 on 3 for a full 2 minutes. I know MC isn't exactly shooting the lights out but it is nice to see some improvement. 14 PIMs are still too many, but when 8 come in the form of Ferriero, I think that shows the players who have a brain were able to play disciplined.

Also a noticeable different in the faceoff circle, where NU won 46 of 71 draws. Dalen Hedges went 14 of 15, that's amazing to see. Nice to have confidence in the centers to win the draws when they have to.

No HE play till PC on 12/6, so good luck to the boys in the Thanksgiving tournament. GO NU

It wasn't always pretty but I went to both games and its a 4 point weekend that brings us from 11th to 5th. Clay Witt spectacular tonight with nearly 40 saves in the SO. Kevin Roy didn't play a shift in the 1st period not sure if he was hurting a bit but man by the 3rd he was skating circles around everyone, he didn't get a point but was really fun to watch at times. Nice job Huskies. We did take some dumb penalties but the D played fairly well. However it should be noted that of the 10 HE teams I have seen play so far this season they are clearly the worst in terms of overall talent and speed.

Northeastern has received a commitment from '93 F Ryan Rosenthal, I assume for '14-'15. He left UVM after 6 games in 2012, currently has 15 goals, 14 assists in 24 games in the BCHL.

Very sad to hear. I met him a few years ago when he was at Matthews catching a game with his family. Good kid. Was listed as an "A" level prospect coming out of prep school, but obviously hasn't put up numbers anywhere close to what people were expecting. Here's to hoping he finds a good fit.

Curious to see how this team plays what looks like a pretty good western michigan team. Any thoughts?
