Northeastern at Boston University HEA Quarterfinals

Re: Northeastern at Boston University HEA Quarterfinals

Series isn't even close to over. Anyone who thinks it is is nuts.

Sandbagger. :)

I'm not wearing any red today. Gray and black. Just like my mood. :(

Speaking of red.......and alternate uniforms.....and the fact that my mind is a bit of a sieve lately, you guys wore black jerseys last weekend, right? Aren't the reds your third jersey? Interesting choice, given the jersey discussion we had here earlier this week.

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but my point wasn't that it was "over." I was questioning why BU can't come out with a sense of urgency and why they always wait until they get behind before they seemingly start to "wake up." Yes, we all know they scored two goals in :57 - are they going to rest on that laurel forever? It's almost as if they think they can do that any time they want. I'm not going to look it up, but I wonder how many games in the last two months we have given up the first goal? The reality is, you can't do this every game and win very often. Since this series requires two out of three wins, if they continue this trend, the series WILL BE over.

man this thread is a real downer right now. sheesh

I don't know what you are talking about Greg, I am thoroughly enjoying this thread right now. No mindless ratdog support to be found.

Since when does BU invite the opposing team's band to the arena for a home BU game? And if you're going to, can the two bands at least coordinate instead of trying to play over each other?

From what I understand, the opposing team's band is always invited to playoff games. BU's band traveled one year I was there, in 2004 @ BC :-). They would probably travel if BU were on the road to most locations, as BU was pretty supportive of sending them with the team. Other than that, I'd say its generally a cost thing. NU doesn't have to travel far, so their costs would be low to bring the band in.

From what I understand, per Hockey East Tournament rules, they're allowed to be there. Otherwise, they have to be invited by the home team, which virtually never happens. And I hope they stay home tonight, they were horrendous.

Every HE team has the option of bringing their band on the road in the playoffs. It's not up to the home team.

Are you saying that you don't enjoy a rendition of "Eye of the Tiger" performed by 6 trumpets, one saxaphone, and a bewildered kid playing snare drum? Because I think it's good old-fashioned entertainment.

Rawlings in beanpotesque form... 3 goals on 6 shots. Witt is just so better with simple matters of hugging the post, cutting down hiw angles. Hell, goals 2 and 3 were simple matters of positioning. NU hasn't even played too badly. Such a shame through period 1. Need to score next one or seeya sunday.

Discipline meltdown.. not good.
Goalie meltdown.. never good.

BU playing for their season & it shows..
maybe 3 gms is how this should go (given season head to head these 2 have had)...

The reffs have been terrible. How about that phantom trip call? I'm losing my voice yelling at Bunyon. Nice pass to riukka from hewkin for his goal.

Quailer has been OUTSTANDING. Hes made a lot of great small plays.

3-2 games up for the taking.
