I'm not certain, ticket packages will even be offered while we are guests at Walter Brown and the Bright Center these next 90 home but really away games. If they offer packages, I'm not likely going to purchase one. I've had season tix since 1990. I saw my 500th college hockey game my 350th NU game this season. A couple of my kids who attended most of these games with me are now in Plymouth and Portsmouth NH and my younger son who went to NU and lives in Southie only attends a couple of games a year. I'll be 60, this Spring and retired and snowbirding a few Winter months each year by the time the new rink opens. So, its the end of an era for me. This season went down the tubes so fast and with the new NCAA indexed ranking system it's nearly impossible to move up in the rankings unless you are playing and winning by large goal differentials and also playing teams already ranked high up in the calculator. So unless we win the HE tournament it's pretty much over. Its statistically one of the worst post break records NU has ever had as we are 2 and 9 since Jan 1. Only Cronin's inaugural season is worse. I still intend to go the the Harvard game but only because Im working with a client in their Seaport HQ today and am already in town. It was a tough loss in the opener and could have gone either way. However, they really aren't playing well in any area of the game. Just kind of playing out the string and coming to the realization that we really can't expect much until the new rink opens its doors. This endeavor is and is going to continue to be disruptive to recruiting, routine, practice, portal possibilities and revenue stream that any form of success from the win column going forward until the new facility opens is highly unlikely. Just the sheer logistics for a player and a fan really suck. Its somewhat unprecedented set of circumstances because nearly every DIV one hockey team that I could think of who built a new rink had access and use of their old one untill their new one opened. Anyway, hopefully they can pull out a W against a very mediocre Crimson team tonight.
