Good for Roy. Hopefully he gets on a roll. Keep it up Huskies.

...By the way, I was a member of the party that very much thought Rawlings was incredibly overrated. I think Ruck is probably better.
Was the large majority not in love with Rawlings? Forgot?...Such a profound statement!

I specifically remember people on this forum loving him to death... but other than that I am completely with you. Even that 1-0 win at Matthews over BU? Most of the pucks shot at him that night were directly into his pads. The "large majority" was never in love with Rawlings. Not ever. And not for a moment, especially since the first two shots he saw in his college career (vs Colorado) were goals. The guy put the team on his back and won exactly one crucial game (an epic 1-0 over bu at Matthews). Other than that, he was ordinary at best and outright putrid beyond description at worst. NU would almost certainly have won the 2011 Beanpot had he had even an average night.
As for the "pro ambitions" stuff, a lot of it is just self-serving hype that most of us take with a grain of salt.
Cronin was pro Rawlings because of his NHL looks. Rawlings started to suck, they went with Witt. Witt got injured and by the time he was healthy NU sucked so it was too late.I think the fans were always kind of anti-Rawlings, but Cronin and the media loved him. I was always a frustrated Witt supporter back then. That 2010-2011 season could've been so much better.
