Played well but didn't win can only go so far. We played well against Lowell, both BC games and against Q and got 0 wins and 2 points out of the four games, with 3 blown third period leads. It's time to stop "playing well" and start getting results.

So what is it that you hear? I was told last night that Madigan signed an extension last summer.

Well said. The only thing I can add is to insert the word, "past" between "It's" and "time."

I'm particularly disturbed by their seeming inability to hold leads late in games. Although it can be argued that some or maybe even all of the penalties called in the waning minutes of recent games were "soft," winning teams don't let themselves be put in those situations.

91 PIM this year, over 120 last year, and currently serving a 6 game suspension for repeated headshots. Sounds like exactly what we need.

FYI, looks like St. Lawrence streams their games in HD for free too. Beats making the trek all the way up there...although it can be a fun road trip. Pregame at the Hoot Owl :eek:

Perhaps this IS what we need. The team's penalties are down this year as this group intimidates absolutely no one. The young gentleman was described to me as a faster, more skilled version of Rico Rossi. Rico was a hoot to watch. He had a way of getting under opponents' skins to such a degree that their fans would come to Matthews with Anti-Rico signs and banners. He was a pretty good player and had a nice career playing in Europe. He will adjust to D! HEA refereeing or he will watch from the stands.

Agreed That was a good win against a quality team on the road. Nice job Huskies ! I wish they were HE points though. However, we played well and I don’t see any reason why we can't get HE points down the stretch and selvedge the season. However to the older guys >40 do any of you ever remember a season where we were in the 2nd week of January without a W in HE? I don’t ! I think we can rattle off a few in a row this month. Let’s hope so. You do have to like the way they have played the last month though with some grit.

I don't care how many penalties a guy takes I had 100's of them, its part of the game. However, it when they are committed and for what reason. I took some heat for my comments on a player on a BC player I perceive as "goon", I am entitled to my opinion and can back up my comments with facts. I at now at the point in my life where all of the local kids I have watched play since they were mites are in the QJ, USHL or are off to college and the kids that are dirty now were dirty in learn to skate from the 1st time I ever laid eyes on them in a cold South Boston rink at 6am in the dead of Winter. To my point the ISL changed its policy on age of players because of him and solely !

They've actually been playing well since Belfast, where they yakked up a certain win vs UML and destroyed Colgate. Maybe the "Guinness Effect"?

Nice wins. Apparently, we play much better when class is not in session.

First day of classes is tomorrow. Will be interesting to see if any players bolt before the semester begins. Crowded roster and players who have not seen much action despite all of the injuries can't be too happy right now.

Gunn left mid-semester last year. Harms left after the semester. Both probably wished they left sooner.
