Yes and yes. If he stays it will be because he chose not to leave. I'd love to have him back, but after how it worked out when Clay and Kevin left contracts on the table, I won't blame him for leaving.

Obviously, I don't want to lose ZAR but next year's freshmen forward class looks really strong. I wonder what they'll do with JStevens, Gaudette, Hedges and Filipe all being top 6 quality centers. If ZAR leaves (or even if he doesn't) I could see one or two moving to the wing. Good problem to have.

Congrats to the Lady Huskies on making the NCAA tourney. Only to face (gulp) overall #1 seed, 38-0-0 Boston College. #GoNU My sources tell me that they could start back-up goalie Sarah Foss.

I couldn't go to game 1, so I caught game 2. I saw Maine once the weekend prior. The series went about as expected. NU-Maine was a favorable matchup for the Huskies. However, I definitely did not expect back-to-back OT wins to get it done.
If I had to pick between BC, PC, ULowell, and Notre Dame.. I'd probably want NU to face the Irish. I feel best about their chances in South Bend than the other locations mentioned.

..it might also help some that we've already made one trip out to South Bend this season (especially Ruck, making his first post season as freshman & showing bit of that this wknd).. familiarity/ travel wise as opposed to them coming here earlier this yr.. this is a favorable factor. Hope the Huskies make the most of it.

Winning a series for this team, considering the way everything started, is already a victory.
I just hope at some point in my life the Huskies can improve enough where a first round win isn't enough, and they can consistently do well.
My current guess is a split of the first two and NU unfortunately falls one game short of the Garden.

they.. (ND).. also lost three out of their last four..
of course its a tall order anytime on the road.. but i think if we can stay out of the box.. we can play with them & then some.

ND is not a bad place for the Huskies to play on the road given their 4-2-1 record vs ND at it's new arena (Compton). Still, without any wins against the 5 HE teams ahead of them, the Huskies have something to prove. Getting into the HE semi-finals will do nicely.

I would start Sarah Foss because she is hotter. I'd grade Brit at 6.5 and Foss as a 9.

Not much to be taken from it in terms of how the Irish are playing, I don't think. And with a win in the final game against BU (a game that both teams really wanted to win), ND avoided going into the bye on a losing streak, so I don't think momentum is really against the Irish either.
Against teams NU went 0-5 against.
