Northeast Regional: Boston University, Yale, UMD, Minnesota

Re: Northeast Regional: Boston University, Yale, UMD, Minnesota

Congratulations Terriers! On to the Garden and the Triple Crown.

Re: Northeast Regional: Boston University, Yale, UMD, Minnesota

I am hoping for a BU win, but my very strong second hope is for a fun game to watch. Please?
Well, that worked out. Had UMD won I'd likely be rooting for them to win it all.

Re: Northeast Regional: Boston University, Yale, UMD, Minnesota

Sorry to hear about your wife. That's nasty stuff; hope she recovers soon. But there were a lot of folks who were very tired and hungry by the end of the game. Aside from the lackluster effort, I didn't find any of the usual outrageously overpriced gourmet stuff. Just overpriced ordinary stuff like $4.25 hot dogs.

Thanks. I won't get into it here...it's a chronic thing that you never completely recover from...you just manage it. But we're happy tonight! :D

A very touch Playoff weekend for the teams from the state of hockey.

A woman in front of me remarked (as she saw me hyperventilating as the final horn sounded), "They never make it easy, do they?" Glad I have two weeks to recover!!

Good crowd tonight...I didn't hear any attendance figures but if last night was 5,000 had to be about 7,000 tonight. Would love to see the Garden PACKED with BU fans in two weeks!!

Surprisingly, attendance numbers were just below 5K tonight. Of course no Yale fans showed up and the Gopher fans that made the trip all stayed home. Not a bad number considering about 95% of those in the arena were BU fans.

Wow. Really? It seemed like goal line to goal line in the lower level was pretty full (a little more full on the benches side)...that's surprising.

Based on what happened after the game, apparently, the Duluth People felt like they didn't get treated fairly by the refereeing crew. They have a point, but congrats to BU anyway, great game.

Hard for me to feel sorry for the Bulldogs when it comes to the refs, the officials went out of their way to swallow the whistle at the beginning of the bulldogs vs gophers game which greatly favored the team without the nations best power play.

Re: Northeast Regional: Boston University, Yale, UMD, Minnesota

Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to the Manchester regional. Saw two great games with BU...unfortunately my first time seeing the Gophers live was quite the stinker. They showed up for five minutes and then that was it.

That was the fourth time I've seen UMD live and they are impressive to watch. So machine-like and clockwork. They gave BU a heck of a run for their money. I really didn't care who won the Regional as I had no real rooting interest.

However, I guess I'll be pulling for BU unless RIT wins again today. Also, I went to Oswego, which is where Evan Rodrigues' brother Paul went and was the D-III Player of the Year in 2013.

But he's not playing badly. He doesn't always score but he creates opportunities for his linemates. If you focus too much on him the others will burn you...

Couldn't resist... :D
