My understanding is that UND got a lease for the Ralph for $1 as long as they kept the Sioux name. If that is the case, is the rink going to follow through and hold to the original agreement?
I heard a rumor that all the Sioux logos would need to be removed. It probably all depends on the agreement, but that would be a shame. It's a beautiful facility, dammit.
I believe they all have to be removed with exception of the one on the marble flooring, Historical photo's of players. The Etchings in glass and whatnot can stay until they are worn and have to be replaced. The logos that are on the seats I believe have toI don't believe they will be removed, but they cannot be replaced once worn? Not sure if that applies to every instance or not...

I would believe so or we are still not in compliance. Will this be done before the season starts?
They have to be replaced, but through regular maintenance. Also, I don't believe the lease for $1 a year was based on the name staying.I would believe so or we are still not in compliance.
Trust me. You will still hear Sioux regardless of what the new nick name is.O'er the land of the free and the home of the *crowd noise* Flickertails DAMMIT!
Hearing a new moniker (whatever it is) will involve an adjustment period.

"Looks to the future" huh? Then how about the "Pipeliners?" (I'd say "Keystoners" but then the people in PA would object...) Then we could say, "Those Frackin' Pipeliners!!!"
Can we have "generic nicknames"?
