North Dakota @ Minnesota 1/16/10

Re: North Dakota @ Minnesota 1/16/10

Nice planet.
{sigh}
It's all clinton's fault.
I think that pretty much covers it.

Pretty much. As much as UND has been hurt by the cheap injury to Genoway, the Gophers had had their own share. You certainly would want Barriball and Matson playing if at all possible.

Re: North Dakota @ Minnesota 1/16/10

We lost Barriball for the year, and now Matson. I'd feel for you, but, well, no.

I'll admit that the Gophers have had their injury issues this year as well.
But comparing Barriball and Matson to Genoway and Hextall isn't close. ;)

Barriball is probably the 4th best forward on your team.
Genoway is probably the best offensive dman in the league (if not the country).

Matson has two goals this year.
Hextall is UND's 2nd leading goal scorer.

Toss in Knight as well, who just came off a two-goal game and then got injured for 4-6 weeks with less than a minute to play.

Either way, injuries have rocked these two teams, and for sure hampered their seasons... :(

Your comparing scoring to a Gopher team that can't score. You could argue that Barriball was the second best forward on the team and Matson is by far the best defensive forward Minnesota has.

They scored plenty easy tonight (much like going on a date with SiouxTechie). :)

Barriball was the 2nd best forward on the team his frosh year.
Last year he was the 10th best forward.
That means this year he would maybe be around 6th best. ;)

Out of curiosity, where did you get 10th? Looks like he was only behind Stoa and Schroeder. Even if you meant the bad soph year he was still tied for 3rd best. Or did you go back and forth between on his team and in conference stats?
