North Dakota @ Minnesota 1/15/10

Re: North Dakota @ Minnesota 1/15/10

BTN is almost right. Let the goalie take the shooter. You don't necessarily stay in the middle.
The reason defensemen stay in the middle is to: a) take away the passing lane, and b) prevent the puck carrier from improving his scoring chances by cutting to the middle. If the D slides all the way over to take the pass completely away, he's basically conceding a breakaway, which is worse.

5 min left, 3-2 UND.

Time is running out, I'm about to load up some pi*d off heavy metal.

Re: North Dakota @ Minnesota 1/15/10

This is not good.
Whatever MN was doing for the first half of the game, they ain't doing it now.

Re: North Dakota @ Minnesota 1/15/10

UND player should have gotten a delay of game for that - falling down and gloving the puck. I don't know how the refs don't call something that blatant - ridiculous.

Pretty much. They can't use the "You can't call what you didn't see." excuse either, seeming it was on the puck itself.

Ding. Dong. The game is over. Nothing is happening of any consequence.
