Not really. It was more of a "wait for MN's defense to forget about the guy on the backdoor" - and since MN's defensemen are idiots, that's exactly what they did.

He had maybe time to take one more stride - any more than that and the shot is blocked and/or the puck is stolen from him.

BTN is almost right. Let the goalie take the shooter. You don't necessarily stay in the middle.

They are right. D-man takes the pass, goalie takes the puck carrier.
