Well, we've blown a 5-1 lead this year...who knows.

No issues with the MacWilliam call, it was textbook. It was a little unlucky that the Maine player was going down right before the hit, but when you lead with your elbows and hit the opponent up high, you're going to get a major.

As for a couple of the others...I never saw the first penalty of the game, the last Sioux penalty that lead to Maine's 4th goal was a joke, as was the penalty on Maine directly after that.

Saying that, Maine is playing lights out, and fully deserves the 4 goal lead. The Sioux need to jump out early in the 2nd and start chipping away at this lead. We have the firepower to do it, but the Sioux also need to shore up their own end first. Otherwise it could get much worse...

Did Maris make the trip with the team to Maine? Do only two goalies travel with the team? Just curious.

We got beat once 16-2 by the goofs when we were just learnin the sport. :)

It appears some of your players from that game never did learn the sport and are now officiating this game.

If this was 1947 I'd understand. When we've played for 63 years, I expect a little more.

In my opinion North Dakota has to make this a two goal game by the end of the second. Under Hakstol, we are not a team that has much success coming from behind.

Anyone remember the last time the Sioux came back from 4+ goals behind to win?

My freshman year (1991) we had a 4-0 lead on BU after one and thought we were going to roll. It ended a 4-4 tie.

I remember that game well because I had a cold and wasn't allowed in the locker room or on the bench. That was my first night doing video. Alfond was undergoing renovations and the "press box" was full, so I was positioned on a thin copper pipe about 20' above a concrete floor. Good times.

2nd underway.
