The Sioux showed their inexperience tonight. Perhaps they overlooked UAA after dominating them last night. It's early in the season, but this loss (well, assuming they don't come back) is very disappointing.

Sioux played a good last 2 minutes.

Game Over.
2-1 Alaska-Anchorage.
The Sioux had some pressure at the end, but were unable to cash in twice in the final 90 seconds.
Disappointing loss, but hopefully the team learns from it. Alaska has always been a difficult place for the Sioux to win.
Congrats to Anchorage. They played their game, and played it well. They dominated the Sioux in the 2nd period, allowing only 3 shots in the period and scoring twice.

I think the Sioux controlled the first 10 min of the game too.
But that was it until those last two PP's of the 3rd period.

Well as poor as the Sioux played in that game, they had a chance on that late surge. Had a bouncing puck come through the crease with a wide open net that couldn't be tapped home. Problem is that you can't play for 6-7 min of a game and expect to win. Hopefully this young team learns a few lessons. Overall, what I expected coming into the weekend (split) but after last night, very disappointing. Oh well, the dreaded bye week next week.
