NMU 2024 Off-season. So....anything new?

Just two weeks ago people thought the sky was falling. Now things look rather encouraging. Time will tell.
 
Former Wildcat and Red Wing, Jim Hiller, is the new Head Coach of the LA Kings.
Congratulations to him.
 
There was a rumor around that Potulny had been talking to the Wild after Darby Hendrickson was let go. I can confirm that there has been no contact at all on either party's part.
 
I'd install Brian Renfrew as the favorite to fill the job. And ironically, Renfrew's daughter is getting married this weekend in the Twin Cities...in a ceremony officiated by Rick Comley.
 
I wonder how many of the incoming recruits de-commit.

Comley hopes to have a head coach named in 2 to 3 weeks per TV6.
 
Speculation that NMU will name their new coach as early as tomorrow.

Three finalists interviewed - Brian Renfrew, Dave Shyiak, and Damon Whitten.
 
Official announcement from NMU will happen tomorrow. Friday press conference will introduce Dave Shyiak as the 4th head coach of Wildcat hockey.
