NMU 2009-2010 Season

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

I',m always a fan of the team. That is why I want them to get a coach who can win. If you were a true fan of this team you would want them to make the adjustment needed to win.

Don't feed his stupidity. If no one repies to his post he shuts up. Honestly I think he gets off on blabbing about nothing.

On a different note I was at the football game today and it was amazing. I've been in Marquette for 8 years now and this is the first year that the football team is actually worth watching.

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Better hurry up, or else you'll have to catch a regular season game at some place like Grand Valley.

I'm hoping to get to the home finale against Indy. I'd also being doing everything I could to get to a playoff game if they would happen to make it.

Fire Don Granato... err... what were we discussing? I havent kept up with the cats too well. last I knew, the won the third place game last march. Wish the AHL Chicago Wolves had someone of Walt's caliber instead of Cammie Granato's much less talented brother.

The Cats beat UMD? They must've been lucky. It couldn't have been good coaching or anything...

Its certainly a lot different than what it was last year eh Lucky-jo? I believe I met you and a few other puckheads last year at the Notre Dame series on Halloween weekend last year.

The Playoff race for the GLIAC teams is pretty wide open right now, and there's no easy pick now for the 3 possiable GLIAC teams. 4 games left and there's still about 6 teams with a fairly good shot at making the playoffs. 7 if you count 4&3 Ashland's chances. Amazing what a good non-conference game can do for your SOS.

And I am going to have to start busting on some of you Bandwagon jumping fans over on D2F though. ;) :D

Oh yeah! a .500 record! That'll get us in the NCAA tournament. I am sooo sick of settling for mediocrity and being happy with 3rd place finishes at the Joe. Sometime you have to make the moves necessary to compete at the highest level. Lil' Walter has been given 2 too many years in charge of this team. If he can't put this team in the NCAA tournament this year, then I think most would agree with me that a change is neccesary.

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Wow. What an awesome way for Northern to start their season. How many losses do you think it'll take the team to pull their heads out of their asses this year. Walt Kyle is a turd of a coach and his teams will always start out the season like big floating turds. This is just a disgrace.

Nope, there's the discrace, up there ▲

Yup. It will. Just ask Wisconsin in 2007 or 2008, one of those years they got in at .500

Not every team can be Maine and win 42 games in a season. Plus, its the 2nd game of the season. Whats wrong with being .500 at this point?

With all this nonsense, I think we ARE turning into Maine. Leave me out of this transformation.

Team looked really good last night, except for the penalties(Dorich) and Mark Olver flying into the zone one on three or one on four. He does have energy, though.

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

How can a team go 19-18 in a 36 game season? Personally, I see at least 4 more regular season wins, add at least 3 more in the CCHA playoffs (5 if they don't finish top 4) and a pretty solid shot at a tourney berth. Let"s hope for NMU's sake that your prognosticating skills are no better than your math.

ooops, 19-17, my bad. In the playoffs, I think NMU will sweep in the first round and get beaten 1-2 in the second round making for an overall record of 22-19. I still think that at 22-19, NMU will be one of the last team's to miss the cut for the NCAA tourney
