Oh, so you don't like how we overcharge you for cable and want to do something about it? You're fired. http://consumerist.com/2014/10/06/u...old-my-employer-about-complaint-got-me-fired/

If that story is true, that guy just won the lottery. Forget Comcast -- his accounting firm is about to pay out one of the biggest unlawful termination suits in history.

I just hope he kept every scrap of evidence because the shredders will be working 24/7 at both corporations. And he better download every byte of his data to hard drive since Comcast is his ISP and all of his records and history are about to disappear in a "terrible technical glitch."

How so? I don't think he's got any claim at all, as far as I can see?

Hazing scandal at NJ high school causes entire football season to be cancelled:

According to an NJ.com report, accusations of sexual abuse among members of the program sparked a criminal investigation by local and county police, and led to the cancellation of the varsity, junior varsity and freshman seasons this week by Superintendent Richard Labbe.

An unnamed parent told the New Jersey publication the daily incidents would begin with a howling noise from a senior football player, followed by locker room lights going off. A freshman football player would then be pinned to the floor, his arms and feet held down by upperclassmen. The victim would be lifted into the air and a finger forced in his rectum. On some occasions, that finger would then be shoved into the freshman’s mouth.

A sammich... all he had was a sammich!

"“He had a sandwich in his hand, and they thought it was a gun,” the cousin, Teyonna Myers, told the newspaper. “It’s like Michael Brown all over again.”"

Maybe he just had a sandwich, but are we to believe that he ran from a cop, all the while carrying his sandwich? I guess we'll find out in a month or two when the cops release whatever evidence they have.

Re: Nice Plant #7: Get me off of this planet

Was he carrying a 6 ft party sub?

Obviously if he shot at the officer the officer was justified in returning fire.

Jesse Jackson race baiting over the death of the black Ebola patient Thomas Duncan in Dallas. With the attention of every public health official, virologist and immunologist in the country on these few cases, Jackson is asserting a deliberate lower standard of care for the black guy. That's not only insane, it's an insult to the professional integrity to the team of people (some of whom were undoubtedly minority) who risked their lives to provide care for the gentleman. Besides, what are his qualifications to determine whether the appropriate standards of care are being met anyway? Is there a bigger sh*tstain anywhere in America?

Non NYT versions of what transpired refer to a weapon recovered at the scene which was determined to have been fired three times. Undoubtedly just an oversight by the Jayson Blair Times. If the young man fired at a cop, the cop had every right to drop him like a bad habit. He also had a previous gun charge pending. And was wearing an ankle bracelet for that charge at the time of his death.

Wasn't a gun. He was just reaching for his college acceptance letter.

Unless the jury is made up of satisfied cable customers. Never mind.

Years ago I had a Chicago cop as a classmate. He showed me his driving gloves, which looked ordinary. Except these gloves had powdered lead over the knuckles. Which would have significantly amplified a tap on the jaw. This was about the time a Chicago judge released a guy who had slashed a cop's face with a broken beer bottle to the tune of 500 stitches. His reasoning? The broken beer bottle didn't constitute a "dangerous weapon." The General Assembly had to amend the criminal code to add broken bottles to the list of "dangerous weapons." It can be very rough out there.
