Re: Nice Plant #7: Get me off of this planet

Yeah yeah, we know. In your anarchist paradise, you'd simply floor it and run over the kids if they didn't get out of the way, and their parents would be at fault for any damage to your car because they let their kids play in the street. :D

Quite the contrary. As a responsible driver, I would pay attention to what I was doing and stay out of the way of the children instead of using road memory while sending a message to someone.

Doubtful. We know you. You'd stop and back up over their corpses, just in case their parents are police officers.

Back in the day, if there was a noise complaint, someone calmly discussed it with the host or hostess. Nowadays, rip up the 4th amendment and bust out the taser...

Alex Jones again, eh? I think there's a site where you can go to read a steady stream of stories about infants around the world who are using their telepathic powers to conspire to take over the world when they all turn 4. Or was it puppies?

Huge NYC kerfuffle about a gift shop and café in the 911 museum. A few family members of victims are b*tching about how inappropriate is it. And maybe they're right. But the impulse to have a brat and a beer and buy some tchotchkes is very nearly universal. Besides, our sincere sympathy for family members shouldn't give them veto power in perpetuity over how the event is remembered.

Does the cafe serve falafel? Lentil soup? Some kafta, perhaps?

Because you know, there aren't gift shops at Gettysburg, or the Alamo, or anywhere else where a lot of people died. (c) Fark
