The police chief is now quoted as saying the reaction "would have been the same regardless" of the student's race or religion.

Yeah, my b.s. detector went all the way to 11 on that one.

At least the kid got invites to NASA, Facebook, and the White House out of it.

Too bad the cop was quoted "exactly the one I figured" when the teacher pointed out that it was the brown kid. As Rick Perry said: "oops."
