Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

Seriously?

Yes, seriously. Now, if the gun owners' info was confidential, and the newspaper published that info, it'd be a different story.

Edit: is it the SMARTEST thing to publish? No. But it wasn't illegal to do so.

Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

My view is that any person could have found the same info on their own. The newspaper simply made the info more convenient.

Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

Again, was it the SMARTEST thing to do? No. But they should not be able to be sued for providing public information that is readily available to anyone who wants it.

If anything, the article you linked showed how a responsible gun owner should store one's guns. ;)

No, I meant, "Seriously, you're defending this newspaper?"

We may not like what they did, but freedom's a two-way street. Lesson learned: don't register the gun. That way when they come to rob you, there's a little surprise waiting.

I'm not saying they couldn't do this. I'm saying they shouldn't. Under any number of ethical standards of journalism.

This kind of thing is expected when it comes to the liberal biased media. Is it stupid? Absolutely. But I expect nothing less from the idiot liberals. They're only a small step above that slime that forms in the corner of your eye when you have pink eye.
