Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

Considering I have yet to find a royalty trust on an oil property that sells at the Brent price, I wouldn't mind.

There's more at stake here than lining your pockets with filthy oil money. If America becomes energy independent again, that will just enhance the arguments of the Tea Party types who argue for American exceptionalism. And we can't have that.

AP reporting Lance Armstrong has admitted using PEDs to Oprah.

YOU get an asterisk! YOU get an asterisk! YOU get an asterisk!

EVERYONE GET'S AN ASTERISK!!!!

In a conversation with friends, I just compared this to Brett Favre finally realizing he should retire for good. You knew it had to happen eventually, you just didn't realize you'd have to wait the better part of a decade to see the day...

Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

Stuart Scott has cancer again.

That's the headline on Deadspin.

As much as I ***** about ESPN, and as much as I attribute to Stuart Scott most of the things I hate about it, that's a raw deal. He seems like a good, personable guy, and I wish him the best and hope he recovers. That said, the first comment I saw on Deadspin was this:

Sadly, Stu saw it coming, but had no idea how far away it was.

I had to post that here, since I have to confess that I'm a total ******* because I thought it was hilarious. Nice Planet, EoDS.

Whoever posted that was as cool as the other side of the pillow.

Someone who refuses to even address the possibility of working from home, at the computer, due to medical reasons, and instead suckles at the teat of government is able to wait in line for NHL tickets for hours. Great way to spend OUR money.

Sadly, one of many.

Sounds like a book deal in the making.
