Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

You don't suppose the whole WBC is on the No Fly List? At least going thru all of that mess every time they want to fly anywhere to act a fool sure would limit their range on short notice for shibby like this. That, and I would love the idea that they would need to get brand new tires every time they drove anywhere overnight.
No, there is no reason for them to be on the No Fly List. Like OP, and most of America, I despise the WBC, but they are entitled to the same rights the rest of us are.

Probably ended up going on board on the last call.
From a friend of mine who is an FO for Pinnacle (Delta Connection):

If that story is accurate, I'm appalled. That said, I'm a little suspect of the accuracy of the reporting for several reasons. As [MNS] said, individuals that need special assistance are almost always boarded first. In the rare circumstance that isn't possible because of a tight connection, etc, the first row behind first class is usually reserved for individuals with special needs. Secondly, in my over five years, I have never seen a flight attendant or any crew member assist a special needs passenger to their seat. I won't speak for mainline, but our crew members aren't trained for this, nor are we allowed to for liability reasons.

Idiots say stupid (and frequently racist) things on Twitter:

In other news, water is wet.
Real world coming up to bite some of them in the butt in a hurry. One of the first Dead Spin had there was from a football player at UNA, a D2 football school in Alabama. Word is that he's been booted from the team now because of that tweet.

Bravo to them... You're in college (well football player, so you can at least read at the 3rd grade level)... Gotta learn to think before you post on social media and realize that you represent others, along with yourself....

Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

It goes back to my previous point. NBC has a news channel (affectionately referred to by the golfer as "PMSNBC"), so use it! As for the kid, it's his soap box, so he should be able to use it how he pleases. I don't agree with the school's position on intermixing athletics with personal lives, but if it was included within the contract, so be it.

She says she made a huge mistake.

Gee, ya think?

A three-time U.S. Olympian whose illustrious running career has included a Nike TV commercial, a swimsuit calendar, and ongoing promotional work for Disney has spent the last year doubling as a $600-an-hour call girl, an astounding secret life that she now regretfully calls a “huge mistake.”

Well, now that her reputation's ruined and she can't really do her country proud as a hardworking athlete and spokeswoman any more, she might as well...go right back to being a call girl.

Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

I bet her prices just went up...

I only remember one exchange from a crummy movie of several years ago about hookers. In one scene the old hooker asks the young hooker if she knows the difference between a $100 trick and a $1,000 trick. The young hooker shakes her head "no." And the old hooker says "nothin'."

Holy underwear! Man farts uncontrollably? We must do something about this immediately, immediately, immediately! Harumph! Harumph! Harumph!

I especially liked the advice that he should use a fan. Yeah, that's what we need, a fan to spread his "joy" even further. Sitting at home, comfortably watching "Miracle on 34th Street" for the 342nd time, highball in hand, it does seem rather trivial and humorous. On the other hand, if we worked within this lout's blast radius, I'd imagine we might have a more jaundiced view.

Could've been addressed with him directly, without involving the boss. Surely he could've run off to the bathroom to rip one or three. Almost all of us feel it coming on, after all.
