Folks, ponder the following:

This 15-year-old will soon be driving an automobile.

Hey, at least in that case when she runs her car into a pothole while texting, she won't fall in

No, but she will someday t-bone a van filled with a young family, and her brain-children parents will try to convince the world it was THEIR fault and not their speshul snowflake's.

And they'll sue the phone company for not having some sort of voice-recognition-texting service. If the phone company had that, then the moron wouldn't be texting, and wouldn't have t-boned the van.

You know... I think most phone companies offer something like that. I think they call it a "calling plan", but I'm not 100% certain.

Yep. But it's not specifically a "voice-recognition-text plan," though.

Now, I was a teenager not too long ago, and I can honestly say that I never felt the need to do this. Is life soooo boring for kids these days that they need to resort to choking each other for fun? What happened to playing baseball or swimming or something?

Re: Nice Planet © 2009

Just one judge, that is all I'm asking, to say "are you kidding me, get out of here and you pay the court costs"

If we get to the point where you don't even have to look where you are walking then we have abdicated personal responsibility completely.

The lawyer that takes this case should be boycotted...the whole issue should be blown up to emphasize the insanity of our current situation, in hopes that we can somehow turn the corner and start heading back to where people have to be responsible and you can't sue everybody for everything hoping that a jury figures "what the heck, let's give 'em $5 million".
I bet this is what happens.

Yet another kid that grows up in this world without knowing how to take responsibility for their own actions. How sad.

I hope the family wins and the award is a sneaker.

That would make too much sense.

Now, I was a teenager not too long ago, and I can honestly say that I never felt the need to do this. Is life soooo boring for kids these days that they need to resort to choking each other for fun? What happened to playing baseball or swimming or something?

Darwin. Survival of the fittest... testing ground... proved. :D

In a more serious note, I'm glad I wasn't the parent of the victim. I'd've grabbed the choker and threw him off my son, then called the police and charged the kid with attempted murder. Add the rule to this game that makes it even more fun. Getting caught means you get in DEEP trouble. As for this victim, I think the Police should go through the motions as if this was a murder. It would scare the pants off the choker and it would send a message to other teens.

So, a caller reported two black men forcibly entering a home, and lo and behold there WERE two black men, one of which admitted forcibly entering the home (although, yes it was his, and no, the police did not know that at the time), and they are screaming racism? WhatTF?????

I wanted to wait and see if any more details came about, and the only new things were that the charges were dropped (expected, and obvious).

This is definitely "Nice Planet (c)"

PS: And if you're yelling and screaming at a cop, chances are you will be brought in, no matter what.

150 dogs found dead in freezers at Mich. home after over 110 dogs, mostly Chihuahuas, rescued

By DAVID RUNK
Associated Press Writer

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) -- Police on Friday found about 150 dead dogs packed in freezers in the basement of a Michigan house littered with feces and trash where more than 110 live dogs, mostly Chihuahuas, were rescued this week.

Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said the 56-year-old man found Wednesday in the suburban Detroit home with the animals may have been living with an increasing number of dogs for up to three or four years.

"The house was in complete disarray, very cluttered and, with 100-plus dogs running around in there, very filthy," he said.

A criminal investigation was under way at the two-story brick home, Haddad said. He said the case could be forwarded to prosecutors for possible animal-cruelty charges.

Haddad said 112 live dogs had been removed from the home as of Friday, and police believe about five more may be hiding inside. He declined to release details about the breed of the dead dogs.

The man living in the house was taken to a local hospital for observation, and a lawyer acting as family spokesman said he was getting a psychiatric evaluation. Investigators previously said the man apparently was hoarding the dogs.

Neighbors in the past had complained of an odor at the Dearborn home, which had a neatly cut lawn and manicured bushes. But this week was the first time officials got inside, and crews needed masks to breathe.

Trash was piled from floor to ceiling in places, and feces and urine was throughout the home. Forty-two ailing and feces-covered dogs were rescued Wednesday. Crews returned Thursday and found more than 60 dogs, and about 10 more live dogs were found Friday, police said.

The smell, noticeable from the street Thursday and Friday, may have been contained previously because windows were closed and covered.

The rescued dogs were taken to the Dearborn Animal Shelter, where residents brought dog food donations and filled out pet adoption applications.

One local resident dropped off four 20-pound bags of dog food at the shelter.

"It's not much. It's only four bags, but it will feed them today," said Margaret Metas, 81.

So, its been discussed in the Obama thread already, but it REALLY ****es me off that Obama feels like he should be weighing in on this when he clearly admitted that he both didn't know all the facts and was biased because this ******** was a friend of his. If anyone is acting stupidly, its Obama for being such a moron in a press conference.

PS: And if you're yelling and screaming at a cop, chances are you will be brought in, no matter what.

Yes, but if you're black and yell and scream at a cop, you can whine and ***** about that cop being racist all the way to next Christmas, because clearly, he was arresting you because he was racist and not because you were being a belligerent, uncooperative pain in the ***. If the cop would have arrested him for breaking and entering, then I'd feel more sympathetic, but not when you go on a tirade about how persecuted and 'vulnerable' black people are.

And yet Wisconsin is full of all the freaks. I want to puke just thinking about how bad that smelled. And 100 dogs? Christ, how the balls would you be able to not be mentally insane after having to deal with all those things running around like crazy?

Re: Nice Planet © 2009

Mad cow or not, how do you not sterilize instruments between brain surgeries?

According to the article, they didn't sterilize the instruments to the standards required for CJD. If you don't know someone has a disease that requires extra sterilization, why would you sterilize for it? Maybe its just something that needs to be done from now on, but you can't really blame them for not doing something required for something they weren't even aware of. I doubt brain surgeons at the UW are bumbling morons :p

This quote:

"I think this is a very human story of a guy who had some very severe mental issues," Schmier said.
Really jumps out at me.

Is this a "human" story? This is what I'm talking about when it comes to criminal behavior and those with mental issues. It becomes "Yeah, pity the victim but the criminal is also the victim."

No, he's not a victim. He's a criminal. The mental issues may point to why this was allowed to occur, but that doesn't mean that the crime should be glossed over or that he shouldn't be receiving the same punishment someone else would be getting. SERIOUSLY! 112 dogs running amok and 150 more in poochsicle status downstairs.

Book him Dan-O.

The only human victims in this story are:

1. The people who have to clean out the house including the dead dogs
2. The people who have to figure out a way to sell it (if the parents of this man can't afford to take control of the house).

I would think it would probably be easier to just demolish the house and start all over on the lot. A stench like that, its all in the walls and whatnot. You could let it air out for 3 years and it would still smell of dog crap and ****.
