I just made the same note on twitter. The only thing wrong is the banner across the street reads 'Seasons Greetings' not 'Welcome Faber Alumni'

Ha ha - the protestors don't feel like they know what justice looks like.

With any luck, the looters will see it first hand in the coming months.

Not that it matters a great deal, but I'm wondering if the "tear gas" actually is. My recollection of the 5 seconds of exposure I had in basic is pretty vivid. If the cops say they're firing smoke rounds, my guess is that's what they're doing. Again, doesn't make much difference.

Tear gas is HORRIBLE.

I was a block or more away and my entire face was running - nose and mouth too.

Maybe even my ears.

It's been reported that both tear gas and smoke bombs were launched.

It's not tear gas. They wouldn't be walking down the street if it was tear gas that thick.

The car can be replaced.

The bigger question is: Why didn't those people get tear gassed (oh, I'm sorry, smoke-bombed) like the people in Ferguson?

An interesting question on nomenclature: our media friends have expanded the definition of "protestor" to include arson, looting, random shootings and uncontrolled violence. Wonder when, or if, an alternative term will be employed. Similar to the media insistence on referring to the Duke whore as an "exotic dancer."

Tear gas is never used on white people ever. Priceless said so.

The thing is, tonight it was all cool. Cops were hanging out, people were hanging out. Some were throwing things, cops let it go. Then the rioters (some) decided to trash a cop car, and attempted to set it on fire. THEN the cops reacted.

What the hell does one expect a cop to do when that crap starts up? Then came the gunfire. Again, what the hell are the cops supposed to do?
