Re: Nice Planet 6: Get Me Off This Planet.

FDud seems to think that efforts to keep us safe must also make us servile. While it is possible, it doesn't automatically make it probable.

Why don't we take a look at all of the "for your safety measures" out there, and heck, we can see it clear as day within the last 13 years. Not to mention, a lot of the tactics used today were also used by the likes of Hitler, Stalin, Caesar, and just about all of the reprehensible despots that our world knows. Those who do not learn from their history are doomed to repeat it.

I still have hope that people will wake up and understand they no longer have Constitutional rights in this police state.
Types the guy on an open message board, not arrested, killed or hauled off for protesting government action.

1. Hitler was evil
2. Hitler used automobiles
3. [something about underpants]
4. Automobiles are evil.

And yet, it took this long for action to happen. Justice only moves swiftly if it is to the government's advantage.

They filed a civil suit, this is not a criminal course of action being taken against the officer. Anybody can file a civil suit against anyone else, does not mean it is justified.

So the suit isn't justified and the cop can do no wrong?

You seem to be having trouble distinguishing between the federal government and the local police. The totalitarian tendencies of the current federal government are indeed of significant concern to many people, but to suggest that somehow the federal government is recruiting municipal police forces for support in that regard is more than a bit far-fetched. Timothy McVeigh was not a patriot, he was a deluded mass murderer. You are parroting him and come across as unhinged in the process, to the extent that anything worthwhile you might have to offer is completely drowned out by ridiculous noise.

I am not at all concerned about my local police force; if anything I'd expect at least half of it to support people in our town against federal government tyranny if the Feds were to try to invade in force. I am very concerned when any administration, be it that of Richard Nixon or anyone else, uses the IRS and the Department of Justice to intimidate free speech rights of people with whom they disagree. Just as I am concerned when any Congress cedes some of its institutional rights to the Executive, merely for short-term evanescent political advantage.

Furthermore, you are committing a basic logical fallacy, called the "undistributed middle term." Your "logic" as presented is invalid.

One is funded by the other. That's the link you're missing. Follow the money.

And if you want to continue the childish name changing, I'm game. Perhaps next you'll be poking fun at my girlfriend?

Re: Nice Planet 6: Get Me Off This Planet.

The opinion of a rigged court coming from someone who is directly employed by the one doing the rigging? Now I know you're a sympathizer.

You really need a lady (or guy, if that's what floats your boat) friend to tongue tickle your testes. You are just one grumpy wumpy.
