Re: Nice Planet 6: Get Me Off This Planet.

or giving a pair of shoes to a homeless person?

more than once, in different parts of the country?

Though then I suppose our resident scold will tell us to take it to the "geniunely nice planet" thread instead.

Maybe we could tell anecdotes about times police officers have treated us kindly? or rescued relatives from dangerous situations?

I couldn't care less where you post stuff, but good luck finding more stories, because there isn't much. I could do one of these an hour, but would rather spend time with FlagDUDETTE.

This is an epic troll job. You gotta tell me, just how do you get your boat off the bottom of the lake?

Oh, I'm sure you could give your hand a rest every now and then. Lets just see you come up with 24 fresh police abuse stories a day. There could be a whole new thread for it if you want to. You wouldn't even last a week with it.

Re: Nice Planet 6: Get Me Off This Planet.

Prominent NY gun grabber and "community activist" busted carrying a gun in school. He helped pass the law bumping from a misdemeanor to a felony that particular violation, after Sandy Hook. He says he "forgot."

Anyone who "forgets" that he's carrying should not be and should probably be behind bars. That includes anyone (including a veteran) who "forgets" that he had his pistol in his car.

Gun rights advocates are urging the Canadian government to drop charges against a retired U.S. soldier who says he mistakenly brought a gun into the country due to a faulty GPS directions during a weekend getaway.

Louis DiNatale, the former Army soldier, says he forgot the gun was inside his wife's car, so when he was asked by a Canadian border agent when the last time he had a weapon on him, he responded, "Earlier that week," The Los Angeles Times reported. The border agent searched his wife's car and located a .380 handgun.

I tend to agree. But, the schadenfreude of the New York case is the dude made political hay out of bumping up possession at a school from a misdemeanor to a felony. We'll see how that one plays out. I'm always amused by the use of the phrase "Army soldier." Everyone in the Army is a soldier. Just as nobody in the Army is an airman, sailor or marine. It's one of those little usage quirks I've tried to get people who worked for me to lose. Such as "PIN number," "ATM machine" and "VIN number."
