Re: Nice Planet 5: Insert Catchy Title Here

I'm guessing he had the crap scared out of him.

A moose hunter in Norway has accidentally shot a pensioner who was sitting on the toilet in a nearby holiday home.

The rifleman had been aiming for the animal, but saw his wayward bullet pierce the wooden wall behind it and strike the unsuspecting victim.

Officials said the man in his 70s was rushed to hospital by helicopter from the site in the island Vesteroy, around 74 miles south of capital Oslo.

His injury was not though to be life-threatening. The moose also escaped unharmed.

Fargo woman is going to give fat note, instead of candy, to fat kids that are trick-or-treating.

They're not?
Gravy is not...but, ranch sure as hell is!! :D
I bet that was a call made just to troll for reactions. I mean, really - the found a health nut in Fargo? :p
They exist. There is certainly not a lot of them....but they do exist.
"You child is..."

She must be a Whioux alum.
No, probably NDSU....there's a reason UND has the medical school and the law school.:p

If she were merely a "health nut" she could hand out gaily wrapped rutabagas. No, she's well past "health nut" and into seriously demented territory. I suppose "Miss Obese Letter" hasn't even considered the selection process on her door step. "Candy for you, and you and a letter for you." Nice. This is an unaccredited do-gooder (eye ball diagnosing kids), who evidently thinks nothing of shaming kids to advance her warped view of how the world should be. Think about being married to that.

Assuming she goes through with it (and I think there's a good chance she only wants the media buzz for her "cause") the people of Fargo should expose her for what she is. And make her life a living h*ll. But I doubt she'll actually be handing out the letters.

From the "It's From Wisconsin, But Not The Part Of Wisconsin You'd Expect" Files:

http://www.jsonline.com/news/crime/...erpass-report-says-b99131164z1-229787341.html

A Milwaukee man has been accused in Kenosha County with dangling a 13-year-old from a railroad overpass while dressed in a clown suit, according to state court records and a report from the Kenosha News.

Bail was set at $10,000 Monday for Antonio J. Brown, 33, after he was charged with two counts of child abuse and two counts of recklessly endangering safety, according to the records.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, a woman called police and reported seeing a man dressed like a clown dragging two screaming children into the woods east of the 4800 block of 13th Court, according to the Kenosha News.

According to the newspaper:

Brown, the boyfriend of the children's mother, had returned drunk from a Halloween party in Racine and invited the children to go for a walk on some nearby railroad tracks.

He forced the 13-year-old and an 8-year-old to drink an alcoholic beverage before they climbed onto the tracks from a hill.

The children tried to run away but were caught by Brown, who hung the 13-year-old over the 50th Street overpass while saying, "If you try that again I'm going to drop you."

When police arrived the two children were holding each other an crying uncontrollably, the newspaper reported.

I don't see the big fuss over the "fat letter." I detest fat people. And ugly people, and stupid people, and dirty people. I'd include Republicans and Gopher fans, but I think I've already got them covered.

But not hebephrenics, apparently.

Re: Nice Planet 5: Insert Catchy Title Here

I used the word "outrage" only because of the tone of your post, the name calling and denigrating. If you're not outraged, I'm fine with that.

Jurors are randomly selected from the community at large. For a typical civil case they probably bring in 30-40 people. From that smaller pool an even smaller group are again randomly selected by the court staff. For a jury of 6 people in a civil case, there might be a dozen people total lawyers get to choose from. They get to kick off a pre-determined number, the defendant kicks off that same pre-determined number, and what's left serves as your jury. I'm sure many on this board have had the experience of being in the larger pool and can confirm this.

I don't defend or denigrate lawyers who advertise. I don't defend or denigrate any other business that chooses to advertise. It's simply a choice. I personally wouldn't select by lawyer, doctor, or dentist based upon a billboard, but others may.

"Tone?" "Name calling?" "Denigrating"? Who the h*ll do you think you are, Albert Schweitzer? Apparently you're a bottom feeder yourself (or have seen every episode of "Law & Order") either way, it matters not in the slightest to me. BTW, is that exegesis on jury selection going to be on the final?

You're into self-loathing apparently.

Re: Nice Planet 5: Insert Catchy Title Here

Ummm....it was the post directly under your post. Open your eyes.

Of what conceivable import could it be, Barney, other than giving you a chance to show what a juvenile you are? If you must know, apart from being a couple of time zones behind you, Wednesday is also the day I spend time each week at the orphanage for HIV positive black babies. Next time I'll skip that obligation so as to avoid your OCD complaining.
