Are you serious? Take a look at a few of the pictures posted under that article and tell me what American stockyard that looks like. I'm sick to my stomach after reading that and looking at a few pictures.

I don't even want to read the article to get the full story. That disgusting. For this guy, I think I'd also want to take a nailgun and attach his own limbs to his own torso. Then pry the limbs away with a crowbar.

Look, I'm for the widest possible interpretation of the First Amendment, including religious freedom, even for Fred Phelps. But that doesn't stop me from saying exploitation of "kid preachers" by adults who should know better is about this close to child abuse. These kids have no idea what they're talking about. But their proud parents roll them out there like they were trained seals. Disgusting.

I'll say this, the little Latin kid would feel right at home in Dayton, TN.

Here's a four year old who's daddy just happens to be a minister, I'm guessing Pentecostal. And Fox somehow thinks this is "news?" (and CNN, too) A few years ago there was a big flap somewhere in the south (imagine that) where a couple of little boys, brothers, were standing outside of their grade school hectoring the little girls on their way to class that they were going to "heyell" because of their multitudinous sins. Who encourages a child to behave that way?

This actually almost happened to our neighbors when I was very very young. They lost their pet python, and found it wrapped around the light fixture above their 2-year-old child's crib.

I'm all for unique pets (hell, I own a freaking 5-inch tarantula) as long as you take responsibility for them.

Yeah. Responsibility. And covering the tank with a blanket or whatever doesn't sound too responsible to me.
