The important question is, will she simulate anything with a baseball bat? I'm holding Allred to a high bar and expecting that in all future cases.

That's an important consideration, no doubt. However, another metric is her body of work. How likely is it that this lube princess said: "does anybody around here know Gloria Allred's number?" Gloria's got lower standards than the character Danny DeVito played in "Rain Maker."

In the 80's, an L1011 belly flopped in to DFW, killing all aboard. That night, at the hotel where the relatives were being housed, Caesar Belli, son of legendary San Francisco ambulance chaser Melvin Belli appeared, drumming up business. I guess these people learn to live with themselves when they're kicking back on their yachts. Or in the case of that slug John Edwards, when they're shooting hoops on their private indoor court. Working up a nice sweat before heading out for a date with his girl friend because his wife is, you know, dying.

That was the whole point. Apparently, she was hot enough. :P

Either way, this will be a weird situation at the next family gathering.

Turns out David Laffer, the hunyak who murdered four people in a New York state drugstore on father's day, spent 8 years in the Army and got out a PFC! A friggin' PFC for cripe's sake. He better have been Article 15ed multiple times or he's the worst soldier since Rusty Calley.

I really don't know where a 'Mother Nature' Item would go but 'Nice Planet' is the best place I could think of.

The white house, just to the left of the Dead (end) sign, is the house I grew up in. It is 2 stories, and the water is right up to the ceiling of the 1st floor. Rather sad.

It seems like every spring we talk about "the worst spring on record," but geez, this year does seem really bad. Especially when you factor in the tornadoes.

You almost feel sorry for Cy Vance. After numerous big cases blew up in his face, he finally gets the headline grabber he's been needing. And the defendant is the head of the IMF and a Frenchman, no less. And his complaining witness is a hard working immigrant from Africa, sexually assaulted by a rich guy (does this sound a little like the Duke "rape" case?). Trouble is, the complaining witness is a liar, crook, scam artist and hooker, among other talents. Things in the NYC prosecutor's office haven't been the same since Jack McCoy retired.
