Not so much Catholic as Irish Catholic.

I would say I knew a dozen Irish Catholic families growing up. Every one of them had a Patrick or a Michael, and many had both. They also had a ton of Margies or Jennys.
Mom's side of the family is Irish. All had large families. No Patricks.

Getting a Meghan as a daughter in law in 11 months.

14 is too many. Men should feel a responsibility to get snipped after #3.

IQ minus 100 divided by ten, rounded down That’s how many kids you get.

:D :D

First of all make sure the parens are in the right place. But even then, no thank you. Divide by 30 and we'll talk.

8 first cousins on my mom's (Catholic) side, 9 on my dad's (Irish Catholic). 20 total "kids" if you include me and my brothers. Mom was #2 of 7 and dad was #2 of 5.

2 Michaels, a Patrick, and a Megan.

No biological kids. Two siblings. No nieces or nephews. 4 uncles and aunts. 5 first cousins, all from the one aunt who didn't go to college.

Most of my family (outside my maternal grandparents, who had 3 kids) stopped at 2. "Never let 'em outnumber you." :D Truth.

7 first cousins. Although on my mom's side we had many gatherings with extended family that could get quite large and fun - especially for the 4th of July.

Sounds about right. I'd live in West Virginia before I ever lived in that flat, sweltering sh*thole.

I've been told that OKC is becoming a diverse, thriving, interesting city and that the educated (and liberals in general) are starting to make inroads.

From a distance it looks like a typical red state third world disaster, like TX, but who knows? There actually are oases like Austin.

Our future under the Nazis? No. Our present.

Ismail B. Ajjawi told the Harvard Crimson that U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents pulled him aside for hours of questioning upon his arrival at the Boston airport from his home city of Tyre, Lebanon.

A CBP spokesperson emailed a statement to the Crimson saying that Ajjawi was found “inadmissible” during the inspection but did not offer specifics.

According to Ajjawi, one of the officials detained him for eight hours and interrogated him about his religious practices in Lebanon. During the final five hours of the session, the agent allegedly left the room to examine his phone and laptop after asking the student to unlock the devices.

At the end of the session, the agent called Ajjawi into her office and allegedly began “screaming” at him over his friends’ social media posts, according to Ajjawi.

“She said that she found people posting political points of view that oppose the U.S. on my friend list,” Ajjawi told the Crimson.

The student said that though he himself didn’t have any political posts on his social media timelines, the immigration official revoked his visa and had him deported back to Lebanon anyway.
