In this day and age? If they didn't suspend him, there would be a lot of rabble-rousing.

So if you had a daughter in his school you wouldnt think he might not be the person you want hanging around? It isnt like he said this to a friend in passing he put this up so the entire student body would see it.

I see what you are saying I just disagree. And as a teacher I would want him out of my school.

So is this administrative leave (indefinite)?

I'd say he needed to get a well-publicized two or three days suspended without pay.
But if he's home indefinitely and still getting paid ...

I'm evaluating this result on its own.

However after additional thought on this perhaps a suspension isn't all that unwarranted. I might have been extrapolating this to him eventually being fired in formulating my original opinion on the suspension.

I don't think he should be fired, but a suspension is fair and warranted.

It’s not that they don’t want to touch it, they want it done right without conflicts of interest. They’re seeking out other law enforcement agencies to refer the matter to.

From what I heard on NPR (MPR, The Current, etc) the police dept hasn't disclosed their conflict of interest. The original judge works with her son or something, so that's obvious. I'm more disappointed in the investigative authorities here. Ellison WANTS an investigation, and can't get it.

Yeah, but you have to do it right. It doesn’t happen overnight. Franken called for it and I’m not even sure it started before he was gone.

The Franken thing bugged me, also. He was a sacrificial lamb. That army/helicopter photo that was part of the story was around (and published) for quite a while. I don't like the guy, but he was thrown under the bus.
