(No, but seriously, stop. It's a trash fire.)

However, it is enough to cause a shortage which means they'll have to buy them off with bonuses, which is good. Pilots tend to be as-sholes (a bus driver with a diva's sense of entitlement) but they are also treated like sh-t.

Not necessarily arseholes, but they tend to be nerds who naturally prefer the company of machines to people. Which is why FAs who fall into the trap of dating them quickly learn many of them are sub-par husband material.

Private pilots are cool. Commercial pilots tend to be ex-AF and what a former GF of mine charitably described as "a lot of overtime." Meaning high maintenance show ponies with a neurotic need for attention and adoration.

Everybody hates pilots and, well, yeah they deserve it, but they also get shafted by their airlines. Come the revolution the management of Delta and American aren't going to be too far behind Goldman and Comcast in the conga line to the gallows.

Nobody is saying that, I am saying that should stop giving these people coverage at all. The alt-right, this guy, and Hitler himself being examples of them doing this throughout history. Of course the Times isn't pro-nazi on the whole but what exactly is the purpose of these articles and how are they helping? If anything they're doing more harm than good.

Care to address any of the points I've made about how the paper has sympathized with nazis numerous times or not?

There's a clear distinction between being a pro nazi propaganda publication and allowing articles that sympathize them. I'm not saying NYT is Breitbart, I'm saying they need to be more careful.

Yes, the editorial staff at the NYT today has so much in common with the editorial staff from 1939. Six of them are still the same people!

I like you, but no, I really don't care to address your points. You said they were a bunch of Nazi sympathizers which is so intellectually dishonest that it is on par with the kinds of garbage Trump supporters spew. Don't be those people. You're better than that.

I don’t hate pilots. Most of ours are pretty decent, a few ****s, and some nice guys (like the ones that played with us in the UPS v FedEx hockey game). Plus they supported the strike in 97 that created the position I have.

I know a pilot for Jet Blue (not well, but we both do volunteer search and rescue). He used to be a high altitude (U2) pilot for the Air Force. Now for his vacations he does stuff like take a long human powered (kayak,hiking) trips above the Arctic circle in Alaska. Interesting guy and doesn’t seem like an *******.
