Problem is Texas wont because there is too much in Texas. It isnt like the Dallas Cowboys are going to threaten to leave, or Mark Cuban will move the Mavericks...and American Airlines wont move their hub. And what are the chances that any of the liberals in Austin are going to move or not spend money? I doubt SXSW is going anywhere nor Austin City Limits...

Outside of ACC basketball no one cares about North Carolina. Texas is a whole nother animal. They may lose an All-Star game or something but it isnt like the Cotton Bowl is going anywhere.

No one cares because charts like that lead to Big Business having massive amounts of confidence in the economy. That leads to worthless stats like the DJIA rising which is then reported on in the news. This leads to the average joe believing things are going great and they are doing better.

See most Americans think of the economy like they do their credit cards. If they have the ability to spend and have all the things they want who cares the bill wont come due until later! They dont connect the dots. Then again neither do Republicans (cut taxes and keep spending...math is FAKE NEWS!!) and that gets them re-elected because they sell what no one can afford but everyone wants. There is a reason why a ******nozzle like Steve Jobs is reveared despite the fact that all he did was convince people they needed his products and that he was the godlike being who brought them to you. The GOP is Steve Jobs only they stole their ideas from morons whereas he stole his from geniuses!

Remember those "hurr hurr boys will be boys" Ohio high school rapists from a few years ago? Remember them? Welp, ...

Police said a man apparently waiting for Judge Joseph J. Bruzzese Jr., who sits on the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas, ran up to the judge and began shooting when he approached the courthouse. Bruzzese drew a gun and fired at least five rounds at the shooter, possibly hitting the attacker, Jefferson County Sheriff Fred J. Abdalla told reporters during emotional remarks Monday morning.

“This individual laid in wait for our judge,” Abdalla said, tearing up during his remarks. “It just hurts. First thing on Monday morning, you have a judge shot in front of his courthouse … This was an ambush and an attempted murder on our judge.”

The shooting occurred in Steubenville, Ohio, a city best known for a high-profile rape case involving high school football players. In a strange twist, the shooter was identified by authorities on Monday afternoon as Nathaniel Richmond, father of one of the two teenage boys found delinquent — or guilty — in 2013 as part of that rape case.

Jane Hanlin, prosecutor for Jefferson County, identified Richmond as the shooter, but she said authorities do not believe there was “any connection whatsoever” between Richmond’s son, Ma’lik, and the shooting on Monday.

Bruzzese had “nothing at all to do with that particular case,” Hanlin said during an afternoon briefing, noting that it was handled by a visiting judge from another area.

I don't think we have anybody here as flat-out racist as the people in those Comments. Yeah, our cop fondlers are in the parking lot outside the stadium, but the stuff in those remarks is on the 50 yard line and stomach-churning. You have to go to Breitbart or InfoWars or Trump's cabinet to see sh-t like that.

Perhaps, but what I've seen here is standard corn pone derpism desperate to equate BLM with Neo-Nazis, or suggesting the 1999 Seattle anarchists are as much a threat to public order as white supremacists. It's the paranoid stupidity tweeked out on conspiracy theories about the Obamas wanting to take their guns and their magic book.

In other words: it's garden variety rightwing idiocy, born of them huffing each others' farts in the Echo Chamber for the last 20 years.

I don't see anybody here who believes blacks are "less evolved" than whites, or are less intelligent or have poor impulse control. We have some Mom's basement sociologists who think "black culture" is somehow less civilized than "white culture," whatever either of those things mean. That's just a reflection of their potty training by Fox with fear stories of angry black city hordes, conveniently leaving aside that the majority of violent crime and drug addiction in this country is good ol' neighborly, country listenin' a-hurp white folk.

Basically, they're racist the way middle class white liberals were in the 1960s. And that means they're catching up, because their grandparents were probably threatening to hurl acid at school kids in Arkansas. The standard of casual conservative f-ckwittery has actually gotten a lot more humane over the last half century. They're still morons, but they're on the way.

What has North Dakota averaged these past couple of decades, 15, maybe 20 murders per year? That's not even a quiet Tuesday for you big city boys.

We all make sacrifices. Some of us put up with endless commercials with Ving Rhames screaming "We have the meats!" Some of us finish our nice little Coq au vin and step out onto the sidewalk, only to get run over by a Hemi.

Having lived in all three for significant lengths of time, anyone over the age of 40 is crazy to live in a city and anyone with an IQ over 80 is crazy to live in the country.
