So I got 4 winners right (two with correct length). My pick in VAN-SJS was pretty bad, but this model will never be good at predicting sweeps, especially for KRACH underdogs. Other than that (and MON-OTT), the actual outcomes were likely, but not most likely.

Haaaaaaaaaaa. Yeah, that's why you got away with your cheap shot on McDonagh.

I don't want to pick a winner, but I think the Rangers-Bruins game goes at least 6 games. I worry that the Rangers will struggle with the Bruins' depth whereas they handled the top-heavy Caps pretty well with McDonagh and Girardi almost completely shutting down Ovechkin and Backstrom (5 points between them in the 7 games). Getting Staal back and playing at full strength would help.

After a loss like that they were probably too traumatized to riot.

I admit, I thought it was coming too. I did not want to have a parked car on the street that night.

It understood that you can't compare teams that aren't connected through a series of contests unless using a prior and even then analysis is likely specious.

Bruins having trouble scoring and now up against the King?? I shudder to think the scores of these games. But that's why they play the games! [/cliche]

Cold -- very cold! :p

Wife and I are at her parents in AZ. We recorded the game and I shut my phone alerts off and watched it after going out for dinner. The recording ended with about 3 1/2 left in the third. So glad I didn't have to sit through the rest. :(

I'll take the high road and congratulate the B's on the comeback. And yes, the Leafs will learn from losing. Sometimes you have to lose before becoming champions. Just hope it happens in my lifetime. <Heavy sigh>

Take heart as there was a time I thought the same thing about the Packers and the Blackhawks and since have gotten 2 Super Bowl titles and 1 Cup (and working on the 2nd).

Still waiting on the Brewers and Badger football...

The year before the B's won the cup, they had one the worst collapses in sports (actually twice, once in the series up 3-0 and then in game 7 up 3-0 before losing both 4-3) and then went on to bigger and better things. It can happen.

or the Cubs. :( it had already been 13 years since the Cubs last won the World Series when my father was born, and he died 21 years ago at age 70.... and they still haven't won it in well over a century now.

Got the last front row balcony seat for Sunday's game 2 in Boston. It's right behind the Bruins net. I hope the game is even half as exciting as last night's game 7.
