Not NHL playoffs, but France beat Russia 2-1 at the World Championships.
Russia hadn't lost in 13 straight games at the Worlds.

And Russia beat the US, and Switzerland beat Canada. Take out the top tier of players, and you're starting to get parity.

Of course the IIHF is for players who are no longer involved in Stanley Cup competition. The Sedins are expected to join the Swedish team for their next game.:)

Fraser sustained a fractured forehead after being hit by the slapshot last night. He had surgery this morning, and Liles will likely be taking his place for game 5-??

Ouch. Hope he has an easy recovery, but judging by how long Marc Staal was out after a similar injury, I can't imagine Fraser will be back before the fall.
