NHL 2024: SLC Puck

So a stat that might indicate the one cup- of the top 25 points scorers, only he and Brett Hull have more goals than assists.

Ovie has over 170 more goals than assists. He will probably end up in the top 10 overall scorers, but I can't really see him passing Crosby- who has 63 more points.

Not to take away from the goal scoring record, but to take away from the goal scoring record perspective.
 
If the NHL had a major league model and included the WHA in stats, Ovi would need another 46 goals. But based on what he did last year he’d just stick around next year and break it then.

I wish I could be as petty as an the NHL ownership has always been about the WHA.
 
I'm torn. On one hand, Ovechkin's new record could have an asterisk for PEDs in a few years. On the other hand, in light of his recent political commentary, fuck Wayne Gretzky.
