NHL 2018-19 Part 1 - No power outage in Toronto this year!!

Re: NHL 2018-19 Part 1 - No power outage in Toronto this year!!

Thoughts on Ovi's disallowed goal?

It's easy to see that on both sides.

He poked an open puck in- goal.

He also pushed the goalie, which could be the reason the puck moved- no goal.

Since you can't actually see the puck- you can't really call either one, so it sticks with the original call.

Really- the no goal is better, as it really forced a game 7- which makes things a lot more tense and fun for a fan who does not have a team left.

Yeah going by the rule he did touch the goalie. But given the timing of everything, and without being able to see the front angle, it looks like he cleanly hit an open puck and whatever incidental contact there was wouldn't have impacted the goalie's ability to stop it. But rules is rules.

A Minnesota fan cheering for the Sharks because of a perceived advantage the NHL gave their opponent seems... odd.

I kind of agree with Scooby, but the winner of this VGK/SJS series will be the most palatable team left in the Western Conference for me. Used to be fairly neutral on the Blues, but had a former coworker completely ruin them for me.

Un. Fu**ing. Believable.

It wasn't worth five, and the Sharks just scored four goals.
