I don't think the Rangers or Capitals can beat the Lightning.

I'm not sure. The Lightning have not looked particularly great, although they did in a handful of their 13 games so far. Bishop has been pretty solid for sure, but I'm still not sold on him being an X-factor. Holtby and Henrik are quite arguably a small tick better.

I think the Capitals have the firepower to make it a slugfest, while I think the Rangers have (just enough) defensive ability to slow the Bolts down, as Detroit did. The question there would be if the Rangers can score enough to win a series.

If the Stanley Cup Final is between the Ducks and Lightning, Bettman needs to borrow George W's "Mission Accomplished" banner for a press conference announcing his retirement. Because he finally accomplished his goal of non-traditional market expansion. Even with PHX and ATL haunting him.

If that happens, maybe the NCAA would want to try again with Aneheim hosting- let ASU be the host.

In other words, lets not think about that too much.

More than that, Bettman wants ratings.

It will be Chicago v New York as Bettman will rig it to be so.

Interesting...I'm in the camp of people who think the Rangers' D is what will cost them the series. Johnson & Stamkos will likely skate around Yandle like a road cone.

The Lightning are countering with their own pylon: Braydon Coburn.

What a useless road barrel he is.

Hey - that's who I picked!

Just glad it didn't end in the first minute, because really. Why bother?? Game 7 OTs should be lengthy

Re: NHL 2015, Part II - Stanley Cup Playoff Race and Beyond

And it ended before 11pm! My favorite game of the playoffs so far!

Brooks Orpik is a thug. Glad the Rangers won. Rangers-Hawks would be tremendously tremendous. Loooooong way from that.
