Penguins are IN.

Sucks, would've rather seen Boston in.
But, the Wings will face the Lightning in the first round. I'm not thrilled about their chances, but I'd rather face Bishop and Tampa's D, than Price and the best defense in the NHL this year.
So Washington and the Islanders tied in points and ROW. Anyone know how Washington won the tiebreaker? Head to head?
Leafs president Brendan Shanahan has wasted little time cleaning house with the sorry NHL team, relieving both general manager Dave Nonis and interim head coach Peter Horachek of their duties.
The jockstraps were barely dry from the season finale Saturday night when the team made the announcement of sweeping management and coaching changes late Sunday morning.
Shanahan didn’t stop with the two biggest names, either. Also sent packing are assistant coaches Steve Spott, Chris Dennis and Rick St. Croix. Steve Staios, who finished the season behind the bench, will return to his duties as manager of player development.
Also heard that the Leafs canned at least some of their amateur scouting staff. Shanny's not kidding around.
Lakers win game 1 2-1 and Rakhshani scored both goals for Växjö.Swedish Championship finals start today. Växjö Lakers HC vs. Skellefteå AIK. I'm personally excited because I attended a bunch of Lakers games and became a fan when I studied there for a semester and they reached this point in only their fourth season since being promoted from the 2nd division HockeyAllsvenskan to the Eliteserien (now known as the Swedish Hockey league) for the first time. I mention it here because the Lakers have four former college players playing for them right now: Rhett Rakhshani, Jeff Tambellini, Noah Welch, and Nick Johnson. It doesn't appear that Skellefteå has any former college players. Go Lakers!
Mrazek cements his case for being a permanent member of the big club next season. Bye bye Gustavsson.
Before the Stanley Cup playoffs begin tomorrow and before everyone goes around in half-assed fashion making picks as to which team will win the Cup this year, it's time to look at some of the most salient points fans gleaned from last year's playoffs.
