Connor McJesus will be out long-term with an upper body injury. Suspected to be a fractured collarbone, but nothing official.

Mr. Eichel, please come up and claim your Calder.

"With the first pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, the Edmonton Oilers select Auston Matthews."

Anyone watching the Hawks-Blues game? #GoaltenderSpecial

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

Vladimir Tarasenko is my personal lord and savior. What a game.

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

Ovechkin had 15 shots on net tonight against Detroit. However, 0% shooting percentage means he stays tied with Sergei for most goals by a Russian at 483.

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

Abdelkader gets 7 yrs/$4.25 mil AAV.

Now that his extension is inked, maybe he can get back to scoring goals.

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

Bernier lets in a 90-footer and gives up a juicy rebound for Zuc's game winner.

Ask Joe if we can get Varly too.
Bernier is mentally in a place where goalies don't want to be.

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

Letang should get an Emmy for that acting job to draw the high stick. Yeesh.

Ok, so it was friendly fire, but regardless. Why do we have 4 officials on the ice again? ;)

Leafs can't score even strength tonight!

But I'll take 4 on the power play (in 2:19 total time) and a shorty! :D

NHL is going to implode the All-Star format for a new version.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...w-3-on-3-divisional-tournament-025040619.html

From McKenzie on Insider Trading:

“There’s going to be a 3-on-3 mini-game format for the All-Star Game. The National Hockey League Players Association recently signed off on that format, and the expectation is that the League will be making some sort of formal announcement about it tomorrow.

"What we believe to be the case is that the fantasy draft will be dead. Instead, there will be four divisional teams – nine or 10 skaters apiece, a couple of goaltenders. The two teams in the Eastern Conference would play a 20-minute mini-game. The two teams in the Western Conference would play a 20-minute mini-game. And then you would have the two winners play a 20-minute mini-game.”

In an effort to out stupid Gary Bettman, Dave Andrews has unveiled the AHL's All-Star Game format:

<a href=http://cdn.rapidmanager.com/ahl/files/AHLAllStarChallenge.gif><img width=300 src=http://cdn.rapidmanager.com/ahl/files/AHLAllStarChallenge.gif></a>

Four team round-robin tournament (each team representing a division). Six mini-games will be played to set up the championship, with each game lasting just NINE minutes. First half of each game will be played 4x4, the second half played 3x3. The two teams to survive the round robin-format with the best record advance to the Championship game, which is just SIX minutes in length and will be played 3x3.

Meanwhile, the ECHL has decided to not participate in this lunacy and has not scheduled an All-Star Game for the 2015-16 season.

Fun time in Toronto tonight. In the 2nd period interview on TSN, Dad (Ray Ferraro) interviewed son (Landon). Leafs and Bruins tied at 3.
