SteveP loves marchand

After a brutal 0-3 start, bruins have gone 6-0-1. And the 1 was a game they blew 2 goal 3rd period lead. I didn't see this quick of a turnaround happening.

Probably a combination of him not pushing him hard at all, and that they called it a five and game right on the spot.

Looking at the bottom feeders in the NHL so far this year. First, what in the world is wrong with the Blue Jackets? On paper they could win the East. Yikes. Second, blow up the Maple Leafs. They are nowhere near winning, so dump overpaid losers like Phaneuf & Bernier (and why is Nathan Horton under contract for another 5 years?) and get draft picks. In fact, they should have done that last year...they might have wound up with McDavid.

Horton might as well be "Prongered". His back is likely not letting him play again. As for his contract, well, Columbus was very stupid there.

Added: the leafs put Horton on LTIR last week. They can be am estimated 5.2 million over the cap the rest of the season because of additional move they made with that.

Watching the Canadian version of "The Walking Dead", otherwise known as the Torunna Maple Leafs.

Connor McJesus will be out long-term with an upper body injury. Suspected to be a fractured collarbone, but nothing official.

Mr. Eichel, please come up and claim your Calder.

I know the argument will be that he plays on a line with Zetterberg, but I think Larkin has a shot at it if he keeps up his current performance.

Colton Parayko might have something to say about that too.

Parayko will probably end up in the same boat as Klingberg, Brodin, and Lindholm the last few years. A great defenseman who won't have flashy enough numbers to make it any further than the finalist stage. McDavid being out long-term certainly helps him, but Domi, Eichel, and Larkin (and maybe others) still stand in his way.

All that said, I would absolutely love for him to win. What a bomb of a shot he has. Reminds me of when I was little watching Al MacInnis.
